  • The DWARF 2 from Dwarf Labs is a simple, easy-to-use smart telescope designed for beginners and those who want an ultra-portable set-up for astrophotography. In this video, I will walk you through everything you need to know to capture and process your first images of the Andromeda galaxy. We will also look at how to avoid dew by using the built-in dew heater in the DWARF 2. In addition, I will show you how to extend the number of deep-sky objects by incorporating Stellairium with the DWARF 2 app. If you want to purchase your own DWARF 2 please consider using my affiliate link below.

I've had a Dwarf2 for a few months now and have got to grips with Siril for more processing options, then run the final image through Gimp for the finishing touches. The Dwarf is a great little scope that is easy to use.

I've been playing around with processing some data in Siril using a script. Planning on doing a video to show how in the near future. For now I've been trying for focus on extreme basics for those who might be brand new to the hobby.

That's why I think this is a great first scope. So often the learning curve has discouraged people and caused them to quit the hobby.

You provide really good instruction. But...my version of DwarfLabs appears to be completely different than yours. I can't find any way to access any library of stellar coordinates. Are you using iphone?

Its a good tutorial. Thanks so much for the effort that you put in to create it. I appreciate it. :) Anyway, I've ordered the Dwarf 2 last month, but seems that it will take some time to arrive.

Excellent tutorial. Very well done. I have a Dwarf2, however haven't used it yet and I just got a Seestar S50 today. So looking forward to using both of them. Thanks for the video.

I haven't had a chance to use the Seestar but everything I've seen about it looks good.

Thank you for the tutorial. From the looks of your bookshelf, you have an interest in theology. The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of his hands...

I've just bought the dwarf 2 and planning my first attempt at the m31 with your settings 😊
My question is i saw you do the darks then the m31, does the darks automatically stack at the end of the shooting process or do you need to add them in when processing?
Many thanks for your help on all your videos also 😊

Great video. Does the orientation matter? I noticed the original image shows another bright object at the top and the completed version shows it at the bottom.

Orientation is not that important. Changes over course of the night and I generally flip and rotate to suit my tastes.
