I basically never comment on YT vids but your comment section seems nice so I wanted to say a couple things!
A) Love the new experimental video style and your vids in general! Just remember to trust your own creative vision, make stuff you like, and don't let anyone or anything (namely The Algorithm) dissuade you from branching out and trying things that interest you.
B) There's something very poetic about your roommate making your Tuxedo Mask cosplay. I'm imagining that one Sailor Moon meme -

Aw baby’s first con! This was such a fun video! I love the genuine excitement and enthusiasm about being there and engaging with fans, it’s the best vibe and totally sells the whole thing. The biggest con in NZ was last minute cancelled this year but now I can live through you and pretend I got to go to one.
Also genuinely that was quite a good cosplay! Especially for a first try, oh man. It always looks worse when you’re the one wearing it, but that’s the same no matter how good the costume is. No-one else there is really looking for or expecting perfection unless you’re in the competition, they’re just there for the fun of it. The second you get recognised you know you’ve succeeded, and getting asked for a photo is SUCH A WIN. So congrats!
Aw that’s so sweet! Yeah I got recognised a bit and it felt very sweet. I just felt really bad for my roommate who spent hours doing an amazing princess mononoke cosplay only to get recognised once the entire day lmao
@@Snugboy oh no your poor roommate! That’s so heartbreaking when that happens 😭 sometimes if it’s even sliiiightly less mainstream the general public just won’t get it

i can’t believe you got to go to an amazing con like this! i went to my first (anime) con just a few years ago which got me hooked on the cosplay community, but i’ve always wanted to go to a big video game con like this! the indie developers that you showcased and the games they created are so cool and super inspiring since i’m currently in uni studying to be a game dev myself! i’ll definitely be sure to add a few of them to my wishlist. thank you so much for sharing your experience!

I've been thinking of going to a few cons since I'm now able to and this video has helped ease my nerves a little. Obviously depends on which con you go to but being able to see people's passion not only in cosplays and turning up but also just the pure passion from indie devs and creators makes me want to go sometime soon. Brisbane doesn't get many cons but I'll find a time.

Honestly I stayed away from the corporate booths like my life depended on it, they creeped me out so much and they were SO loud, i wanted to dropkick them out of the convention.
I didnt actually see all the indie games you mentioned, so now there's more i want to check out! Innchanted in particular seems fun since I'm a terrible gamer who sucks at intense/difficult games. The indie devs were probably super happy to talk to you, I love how passionate they are about their games.
The indie games also all have such fun vibes and unique styles so I found it was my favourite section too to be honest.
Good on you honestly for commiting to making your own cosplay (/making your roommate do it), I don't think I'd even know where to start if I wanted to make my own cosplay. The most I did was very cringe wearing cat ears and a cat tail I bought to Animania Con in 2012. Very cringe, very embarrassing, dying inside just thinking about it.
But yeah anyway!! Very enjoyable video, it had my attention the whole time, shoutout to your editing skills which I swear never get appreciated. Great job man!

I don't play as many video games as I'd like(& I'm poor) but that sounds really cool I would love to go the a convention someday, especially to see the indie games.
