Great version! How can one not think Bowie is among the best performers of all time. His music, even the earlier stuff has stood the test of time. His live performances are usually better than the original record, which is rare for any artist.
I am obsessed with this video this week. I hate how I've never seen him live. Had tickets for Area2 but was unable to attend. Wish he'd play Coachella...
Was würde ich dafür tun ihn einmal zu treffen .. .. . . . . Ich habe das Gefühl in wirklich zu kennen... ich war noch NIE in einen STAR! VERLIEBT !!!!!
Actually Bowie and Pop wrote it together, for The Idiot album, that David Bowie produced, and co-wrote most of the songs. Later he made another version found on the Let's Dance album. Is not a cover.
Phenomenal performance and one of my favorite looks/Bowiestyles! I LOVE the long hair and the almost man dress like from the cover of "The Man Who Sold The World". Oh, and I'm a dude! Hoooo!
Was working the main stage that night as part of the medical team. I was one of the guys behind the barriers rescuing the fainting dehydrated fans who had been down the front all day. DB is my absolute hero so I asked to swap my duty from the NME stage. Never believed that was the last time I would see him....
Man can he sing. But eeh, that is not a look I've seen on him nor care for.. Robert Plant hair (no no no) and the outfit makes him, the Thin White Duke! look chunky. But he's the man, never doubting that. I like this song a lot, though Iggy does it proud, too.
I love Bowie, but this is pretty lame compared with Iggy's original version. Yes I know Bowie co-wrote it, but Iggy does it a lot better (in my opinion).
@@VisionaryofMirage aw sweet, I like him even more now. Poor teenage Bowie. That gives me hope as a shy introvert even though I dont have an ounce of his charisma lol
He gives us all hope haha! He stated that it took him a good ten years of hard work before he got any good at song writing, and he didn't rate himself very highly as a singer.
@@VisionaryofMirage patience, persistence and hard work! I like it. And he was quite a good singer imo, at least I very much love listening to his voice ;) and yes he gives us all hope haha❤️

Talk about the most amazing stage presence. Unreal

Does anybody realize his amazing voice here? At 2:17
Thin white Duke's trademark 😉
Doesn't sound the same without SRV's guitar...still pretty cool though

Not a bad live version.....

Hehe...perhaps and he sings this time!!! ;)

Nice! He looks like Tom Cruise in Interview With The Vampire!
Wrong.....Tom Cruise looks like him :-)
this version is more faithful to the 1977 original hence the different bassline.
oh, his golden locks. we miss you David.
Uno y único como el anillo de Tolkien. Larga vida al Rey👑👑👑👑
Great song! Drummer ballsed up at 1:19 !
*Sigh*
I was 6 in 2000.
If only I were ten years older....
The very best, r I p david bowie xxxx
Legendary performance as usual in David.
I love watching this man sing! His voice is so... XD
Thanks for the upload!
Good version. Stevie Ray Vaughan's solo on the original was awesome though, the solo in this is not as good but still a great track.
Possibly the greatest ????
David is the best!
I love this performance!
Thank you!
I was at this gig
Jealous... Must have been legendary

Un peu comme un enchanteur
Excellent! I hope Bowie releases this show officially, someday.
Wish granted. It was released yesterday!
6 personas no han besado a una niña china.
I love this man, and this song, but here...the distorted guitar doesn't work, imo

I wonder if he knew how cute and sexy he was? He sure was a crowd pleaser, could work a crowd like nobody else. Thanks for the upload :-)
Well he had tons of confidence. He didn't care one way or another I suppose. That's what made him sexy. Being a genius was an added bonus ;)
He was really quite a shy introvert, especially when he was young, it was partly by playing characters that he became confident onstage.

It's a wig!
highflyguy1 i dont think so. he is blond. and this hair is similar to the one he had in the early 70s.
Until he became ill with cancer, he always had a great head of hair. He had long wavy hair like this in 1970.
why did u bring nirvana into this?
The guitar sounds like garbage lmao omg
No.
Well, IAF, there was only ONE Stevie Ray Vaughan !
