Pat Thomas ,Uncle Ebo Taylor when they were with the Sweet Beans in the 70s, revolutionized the hilife music with these songs. I left to America in the early 80s but these songs has stock to me. I am disappointed that the current musicians the type of hilife they play is not the hilife Pat Thomas, A.B Crentsil, C.K Mann,Papa Yankson play. I hope they will go back to that.
No shortcuts in music. Good artistic compositions, lyrics, and definitely real art of instruments! Now that is what u call music. No electronic shortcuts here. Real lyrics, and definitely meaningful MUSIC! How can the next generation learn what real musicianship is, when they have no ways and means to learn from the real MUSICIANS! We need national archives for music collections, and also take real advantage of our musicians that are still here with us. Give them the opportunity to feel alive and valued, by giving them the platform to teach music!
He is one of the best. Also give thanks to those who influence his music. He is an Ashanti but all his music is in Fanti language because he stayed in Takoradi all his younger years and worked with musicians like Ebo Taylor and the Broadway Dance Band which later became Profesional Uhuru.
