Truly, Sting has to be the most gifted musicians of our era. Rarely, if ever, do we come across an artist, with such Intellect, Depth, Innovation and Creativity.
I followed Sting from the get go when he was in the police, I have a number of his albums, he simply is one of the best artists I have been privileged to live at the same time. I saw him in concert at Wembley arena with my best mate when Sting first went out as a solo artist. A number of years later my friend, he was like my brother I never had died suddenly, and the first song I heard after his passing was fragile. So this song means so much to me and John loved this track.
My brother loved sting, I dropped to the floor today hearing of his unexpected death, he was a tortured soul and I know he has now found peace. Rest in peace my little brother. Love you forever💞
How fragile we are!. Explains life, loves and relationship problems brilliantly!!! I can listen to this song over and over. Not sure it uplifts me makes me go into another world of peace, quuet and tranquillity!!!

The first time I heard this song was on a bus in France in the 80s. Someone showed up with a boom box blasting it, evidently proud he was playing such amazing music. Nobody said anything in protest. I was mesmerized.
the album this song came from was released in 1987, that would narrow down when you were in Paris and joe q public was blasting out music on a boombox... as for the song, I don't think anyone can complain about it or what it says. I'm sure it even got the passengers on the bus to shut up for a few minutes.

The song is a tribute to Ben Linder, an American civil engineer who was killed by the Contras in 1987 while working on a hydroelectric project in Nicaragua.
This song is helping me through difficult times right now, to anyone who is struggling with themselves, take care and believe me, after a while everything will be fine! ♡
The song is not about struggling with life generally, it's very plain about our physical vulnerability and the uselessness of killing people by violence. To be precise, it's dedicated to a US civil engineer named Ben Linder who was killed by Nicaraguan rebels in the Eighties. Just to let you know...

What looks like fragile and tender, is essentially strong and powerful. Everything but the little box beating inside us reminding us what we are.
Lovely
Hinata Kaede Thank you. Love to you.
G. Noah K. :) my pleasure
Thank you for this beautiful comment
Yes, and conversely, what looks like strong and powerful, is essentially fragile and tender.
During a story on CBS Sunday Morning about Phillip Petit on 8/4/24 they used this for the background music while he was walking on a high wire in his backyard in Upstate New York. I knew I had heard the music before but it didn’t dawn on me until today who it was. They only used guitar figure, no vocal.
One of the biggest artistic pieces of all mankind. Thanks, Sting.
Great comment *like*
Beautifully said. I couldn't agree more . . .
It trully is...because it is pure love

Truly, Sting has to be the most gifted musicians of our era. Rarely, if ever, do we come across an artist, with such Intellect, Depth, Innovation and Creativity.
Altek Corporate So true. He's also a superb songwriter. Those years as an English teacher served him well.
Thank you blessings4eva for your comment(s). I agree; the man's Gifted!

Sorry but that title goes for Stewart Copeland, the true mastermind behind The Police.

Timeless!
Mi esposo y yo somos sus admiradores. Saludos desde República Dominicana.
My brother loved sting, I dropped to the floor today hearing of his unexpected death, he was a tortured soul and I know he has now found peace.
Rest in peace my little brother.
Love you forever💞
I am so sorry my dear. I have suffered so many losses in my life too. My brother David was the hardest for me. I am sending you love and prayers ❤
I can feel your pain in your words

Hvala Stignu i svim
drugim autorima. Uljepšali ste mi mladost. ❤❤

Real music, nothing added. Just him and his guitar and one's in the heaven ❤
One of my all-time favourite songs. It never gets old.
This song resonates deep within our broken hearts. As we bid 2020 farewell.
"Nobody said anything in protest" Perfect!

One of the most beautiful song I listen hundred times over and over again. Its lyrics are also so meaningful, thank you Sting!
The song is a tribute to Ben Linder, an American civil engineer who was killed by the Contras in 1987 while working on a hydroelectric project in Nicaragua.
Very beautiful
This song is helping me through difficult times right now, to anyone who is struggling with themselves, take care and believe me, after a while everything will be fine! ♡
I listen to this EVERYDAY and it brings tears to my eyes, but joy to my heart ❤️❤️
❤️🙏
I've been waiting 35 years for my life to get better, it hasn't!
Every day is a struggle 😪
The song is not about struggling with life generally, it's very plain about our physical vulnerability and the uselessness of killing people by violence.
To be precise, it's dedicated to a US civil engineer named Ben Linder who was killed by Nicaraguan rebels in the Eighties.
Just to let you know...

Solo para rusos no entiendo el cirilico
*Fragile* - Sting
If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are how fragile we are
How fragile we are how fragile we are
Thank u 💙🙏
