I totally agree with you. Unfortunately, I discovered the CAGED system much too late. Have been using it for a few months now. I've been playing guitar for 48 years and wish I had discovered it sooner. It's very helpful.
Nice bit of info here Troy. I’m working on the embellishments you mentioned as I think they are the interface between the caged chord and the relevant major / minor pentatonic scale.
Hi. As always great video. Can you take it one step forward and show how in each of the CAGED positions you can play all chords? So for example, in the G position, how would you play 1-4-5, then same in the C position, A position and so forth. Is that something you can do? I don't see almost any videos showing how you work different chords in a given key in SAME position of caged.
Thanks so much! Check out this video, it might be what you are after Play better guitar parts with these chords! (easier than CAGED) ua-cam.com/video/mKTuXJxQYmk/v-deo.html
You made an often overlooked point here, thanks for sort of reminding me of something I'd stumbled on in the early 70's.🎸
Awesome! Thanks for watching, Chris.
Best example of linking caged and pentatonics I’ve seen! Keep these vids coming… thanks 🎸👌
