But buddy, its only going to get worse if you stay the way you are today. Its okay to get down, feel guilty, awkward, entitled, hopeless or whatever else but just dont stay there! You said you keep hoping for something miraculous but if you got it, it sounds like you wouldn't accept it. I dont know Pastor Lee but if he is as good a man as you feel he is then he is not as concerned with you converting as you think. He is helping those who need something he has, just like he knows that you help people in ways that you can. Isn't that a beautiful thing?
I really wish I was closer to you. I am no mechanic by any means but when my fuel pump went out in my truck I knew I could spend over a grand to have it towed and fixed or I could say a ton of cus words in my driveway. I chose the driveway cus words and would love to be by your side cussing away as we fixed it. You have my number. Please don’t be afraid to use it. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow but I honestly hope you will jump on the pastor’s offer. I am not a religious man either but I do know that things and people come into your life for a reason. I choose to believe cause there has to be something better than this world we are living in now. Life is hard and truth be told some people don’t realize most of us are literally one or two bad life events away from being in the same situation as you, especially as high as everything is…. Car payments, housing, groceries and etc. Truth is none of us know how we would handle being in a situation like your in. I just want to commend you on how strong you are and want to say We both love you brother no matter what. I do hope you decide to accept the help. Gary, it sounds like Pastor Lee is your life preserver. I can almost guarantee that he would allow you to help others and work off any debts while you are staying at his place. I know it's not the ideal thing right now, but you can't keep suffering like you are doing. I don't believe it would be a permanent place to live, but right now, it's better than what you have going. Also, think about how many veterans that might be residing there who may need extra help. Please don't get angry at everyone for suggesting staying there. We only want to see you doing better. I know if I was in your area or if you lived near me, I'd rip that van apart and get it going for you without a problem and save you at least $800 if not more in the process. My labor cost to you would just be a day out fishing and talking about life.
