Love this gun. In Finland we dont have limitations in energy, only in caliber. Everything goes all the way up to .25cal, no limits with joules, .30cal forward you need a license as any other firearm. Im rocking with M4 Extended, and boy.. Its awesome! 17:44 You can mount rings and scope more back and slide the scope rail forward. Thats one reason why TRS rail is pretty annoying since you HAVE TO buy taller scope mount ring which brings scope much higher, so on the point of gravity changes with heavier scopes.
I miss your country, I've been on holiday several times before COVID. Your so lucky to have so much unspoiled countryside and a wonderful open minded attitude towards hunting with your people. Maybe I will get back there one day and meet up with the tour guide who wanted to take me hunting with him. Take care, stay safe 😊

@@OriginalThisAndThat I know you do . I'm not one of the normal tourists, I like to get into the real local culture of where I'm visiting and I've met some very interesting and lovely people by doing so and I must admit the finish people are the friendliest I've met 😊
Nice bit of kit! Cant wait to see your full review, love olso your wildcat mk3!

Good review and video Chris nice rifle 👍
Thanks Chris If I buy one I will chrono it good review
Nice video thank you
Bloody hell 50 metres 18 grain is that the furthest I’m very interested. Great videos 👍👍👍
Great review . I take it that the magazine can't be inserted from the left, as a leftie it would be nice to be able to do that and then change the cheekpiece over too. Only other thing I'd change is that I noticed the pistol grip is open at the bottom - I'd have a cover on that so that could maybe put a couple of VP90 wipes inside it I don't like that open look at all. But that's just nit picking really. Look forward to your next review
no you can't swap the mag to the left side
Great review chris,i have the m3 sub12 every time i take gun out i have to re zero it (not by much) but it is a pain.4 of my mates have m3's and they have the same problem,i hope they have sorted this out
Yes my M3 is the same, if you touch the barrel when refilling the tank it goes out a bit. My M4 doesn't it stays on target.
@grahambristol2988 ah least they have sorted that problem out
get the carbon fiber liner and its never an issue.
I saw on lancs vermin control dry firing a good few shots after filling can help with not re zeroing
Excelente 👌 riflon amigaso es muy silencioso me gusta mucho saludos y bendiciones
You kept saying double regulated but there's only one regulator on the M4 where you can adjust it inside the trigger guard. The bottle regulator has been deleted. The first regulator on the M3 is behind the bottle and second inside trigger guard controlling air to the plenum, where the M4 is unregulated there from bottle to the first reg to the plenum. So according to my knowledge there is only one regulator inside the trigger guard... I've watched updates on the M4 where people have gone back to the M3 regulator system and introduced regulator behind the bottle on the M4 ....I think the regulators on M3 and M4 are garbage and recommend replacing them with a Humair high pressure regs. But if your happy shooting 17g pellets upto 50m at 850fps so be it.
I haven't been able to check this out anywhere, perhaps I should call Sportsman as they will know. But I think on sub 12 they have kept a reg behind the bottle as the 2nd reg pressure is only about 55.
Lucky people that are allowed the full power available will have around 100 or more on the 2nd reg so don't need the first reg. I think a first reg is useful as it does away with the sweet spot on a single reg, if your on full power I don't know how much of a sweet spot there would be. Unfortunately the UK laws prevent me from finding out for myself.
Also if we shot a 17gn at 850pfs we'd end up in jail as it would exceed the 12ft lb laws in crippled UK. We brits have to learn the skill to shoot 100 yards with 16gn at 585fps, it's so sad.
@@grahambristol2988 Correct, the sub 12 version still has 2 regulators. The one behind the bottle is still there, they just removed the pressure gauge.
Good review. One thing I did notice is that on more than one occasion you refer to the M4 as having more than one regulator. This isn’t correct. The M3 is dual regulated but the M4 only has one regulator. This is one of the biggest changes about this rifle over the M3. 👍🏼
@@pellet_on_pellet correct, i meant pressure gauges😳
Not correct. The sub 12 version, which Chris is shooting here, still has the dual reg set up.
@@chrisparkin431 Sub 12 version does still have 2 regulators
It does have two regs they have just put one less gauge on them
Another good video Chris what height would scope mounts would you suggest for the fac version
@@bricklayer6534 depends on your optic's dimensions but the ones I used are in the video and say on the box. Different manufacturers all have different specifications they call low, medium, high etc' anyway so it's impossible to account for all scenarios
I have an Arken EPL 4 6-24x50, my rings are app 27mm from bottom of ring to bottom of pic, I didn't have my M4 when I bought them so had to guess, Looking at it on the riffle now I could have gone 10 or 12 mm lower, that is on the supplied top rail. If you're going to put an extended top rail on your gun stay with 27mm.
Hope that helps.
Guy at my local rfd said they've had nothing but issues with them sent loads back
Correct! I bought one in August last year. Back to SGC umpteen times before they admitted they couldn’t fix it. Still waiting for the new replacement they promised. Glad Chris’s seems to be working ok, maybe they’ll get around to sending mine out.
@mikeyb9819 just another reason ill likely never touch an fx tbh
@@mikeyb9819 what sort of issues were you having??
@@andrewwheeler1590 name an issue, I had it. Reg creep being the main one but, it also started leaking as well as having a rubbish MV spread (33fps). Biggest issue is that SGC seem incapable of sending me a gun that works. They agreed mine was FUBAR in October (having had it on and off since August) and promised a replacement but, here we are 3 months later - no gun.
@@mikeyb9819 Thanks for the info. M4 is on my shortlist, so interested to hear the good and bad stories. Sounds like you've had a bad experience with your M4, however you don't sound put off by them, just keen to get your replacement which hopefully works. Your main frustration certainly seams to be coming from your dealer. Good luck...
Superb gun but I thought the AGT VIXEN was just accurate however last week I bought a BRK GHOST + and it’s comparable with the FX .. but at cheaper cost and also allows a complete barrel ( calibre) change should I wish to do so
Hi Chris what bc were you getting with the 16gn JSB's ?
It says on the chronograph readings
Would it be legal at 12.2 ftlb
@@strikenowfishing1406 not to my mind and were I not a registered firearms dealer; I would not have published the video. The gun has been returned now anyway and will be retuned
Why should left handed shooter just have to make do. If they can make the cocking lever ambidextrous how hard would it be to do the same with the magazine and cheekpiece! Think silly and very lazy and discriminatory considering the design and look it would easily be achievable! Get your act together FX!
@@jameselliott3503 email FX and tell them, I really can't see the difficulty from an engineering perspective but I fear they are led by marketing so please nobody
Fps 588😂😂 . Bạn nên chơi ná cao su
The sub 12 standard does not have a 600mm barrel, it's 500mm. Sportsman does not make that clear on their website, FX does.
@@grahambristol2988 there is ambiguity with liner lengths stated on websites too🤔
its got 1 regulator instead of 2, no FX ever had 3 :D honestly I don't see the point in these types of gun in sub12..... why would you need a very expensive paper weight like that? it can reach up to 100 joules in .22 yet its stuck at 16...... like buying a Ferrari with a lawn mower engine.....
in sub 12, it still has 2 regulators....
30m mà thế này thì quá kém.hoặc là súng không ổn định
Which bipod is that please?, i didn't quite catch what you said.
