an interesting explanation of ERD, step by step in a simple, slow way that makes it easy to understand, thank you Mr. Dr. May Allah increase your knowledge
Thank you for this step-by-step demonstration of constructing an ERD. It is explained in a very simple way for beginners like me to understand and follow. Appreciate your tutorial.👍
This video isn't really about an ER diagram. It is talking about a "relational model". An entity/relationship should not be talking about primary key or a combination key and such relational database terms. E.g. "An employee works for a department" - there are two entities "Employee" and "Department" and the relationship is "works". So you should pick the 'entity' icon on the left (rectangle), and the relationship icon on the left (diamond shaped). Then you draw the cardinalities (one-one, one-many.. etc). Between the rectangles (entities) and the relatioship (diamond), you draw the cardinality lines (one, many, etc).
OK, and how do I create a composite PK which consists of 3 fields? Anything I try, it puts it in a different row that is divided by a horizontal line. I'm unable to put 3 PK's between two horizontal lines. Like the two PK's in the EmployeeSkill here, only I want a 3rd one in there too. How to do that??
I got an exam and it says: In this worksheet you will practise normalising data to produce an ERD from a paper-based record. So I have to do the same as you done or I need to uce access
This is not an ER diagram. It is a relational schema. ER diagrams are part of the conceptual database design and aren't related to a specific database type.
Thanks for a nice explanation of draw.io Please do not add 'music' in future videos as it is distracting a lot for hearing impaired people. If possible, remove in this one.

Hello, very helpful video and loved it, but how do you add more columns to the table to fit more attributes?

This was very well presented! And helpful!

Very nice and beginner friendly tutorial. Well done.

Very well defined . Good Job
Thank you very much for your video!
This is an amazing tutorial. Thanks a lot!
Thank you it has been really helpful for my assignment. For the lines though, why not just use "duplicate" instead of copy and paste?

Thank you for tutorial, it's really useful

Agree it would be better without music - very nice tutorial but I found the music distracting and annoying, entirely unnecessary.
Thanks
