Erode Nagaraj - Laya Vinyasam - AIR 1995

Found a recording of Laya Vinyasam in Misra Jathi Thruputa Thalam I had played for All India Radio Chennai in the year 1995. The broadcast happened on a rainy day. Hence the background korakora :)
Sri UKS Sir played a korvai in rupaka chapu thalam in a concert (held in woodlands lawns for AIMA) of Sri TVG with Sri VVS and Sri TV Vasan anna during the December Music Season. Umayalpuram sir played the korvai in such a fashion that the first line of the korvai is played in lower speed, madhyama kaalam and from the third speed full korvai will be played.
That was the inspiration for the last korvai in this recording, purvanga in keezh kaalam, purvanga and madhyanga in madhyama kaalam and purvanga, madhyanga and utharanga in mael kaalam.
Also, 1st kOrvai is Sri UKS Sir’s, which he modified his own Adhi thALam kOrvai for misra thruputa and played for solo in Doordharshan.
