I have learned that we should ALL watch your video over and over and over to make sure we understand. becasue today i was able to follow your video and make all those changes. the only thing i need to learn that was not on your video or videos is the pink tax buttons on the far left. what are those for? i will have to find out. I was given the XE-A106 and its the same as your 102 for programing. thanks so much for your videos i used them alot and may do my own videos on this register.
@akacj15 The 7cent difference would be the tax on .82 cents. $2.72 minus 30%=.82 cents. $2.72 minus .82= $1.90. The discount key can be programmed to be a taxable OR non-taxable discount just like department keys. Program it to be a taxable discount and it will minus the 7 cents tax as well to equal $1.90. That's my best guess without knowing the sales tax % in your state.
@ray4burn you can view the code to make under programming printing mode for sharp XE A102 cash register. Once you figure your code you can then program depts with non tax

Heres my dilemna...when an item is discounted, its taxing the regular price instead of the subtotal after the discount. How do you correct this issue.? When we ring up rehukar item, it taxes correctly, but not when we discount an item.

I have reset my register and reprogrammed my tax rates for departments 1-4...my tax rate for dept. 2 is 7.5 percent. However when computing tax it calculates extra; i.e. my price for dept 2 is always 16.00, with 7.5 percent tax it should be 17.20, but it calculates to 17.44... any help would be much appreciated.
When someone is paying and you need to charge tax you type in the amount and the tax button but it doesn't do anything on mine so i do not need to program it but I need to charge the tax so how do I do it. Because I've tried several times and it stays at "25" dollars and does not show the total with the tax. Please help!!
