Don't forget about co-ops, too! UT Austin never advertised or even mentioned about them. Usually MUCH cheaper than dorms and apartments. ~$600/month for a shared space. ~$700/month for a private one. Plus, food is even provided for you for free, so you don't have to worry about the cost of food!! :))
First, your videos are great, I’ve been following for a while, and I can honestly say that you are HELLA underrated!! Second, how much is callaway?! I’m still searching for some apartments and I really wanna be on West Campus!
Thank you so much!!! I love seeing your comments on my videos! Also, Callaway is admittedly pricey, but rates change each year so I'm not sure what it's going to be for next year... www.americancampus.com/student-apartments/tx/austin/the-callaway-house-austin/floor-plans
Love your channel! Would you say that it’s easier to get into the regular bba program rather than mss? I am really interested in McCombs, but I don’t know if I would get admitted based on my stats. Do you think you could make a video all about MSS? I would love to hear about it from someone who is currently in the program!!!
I would definitely say that MSS is trickier to get into than the regular BBA program, but you get great experiences out of either since you get put in a FIG (First Year Interest) group as a regular BBA student which is something I sometimes wish I had! It's nice because you make smaller and closer knit connections that way. I would LOVE to make a video about MSS, for sure! I should be a mentor for it next year so if you end up in the Cohort of 2022, I might be your mentor!
It might be a little specific for a separate video BUT here's my overall thoughts on it: PROS: - very close to most freshman classes - great dining hall - lots of study rooms - big gym - outdoor spaces for nice weather days - spacious rooms CONS: - kind of a "party dorm" - can be noisy at night - expensive - weird dining hall hours - elevators can take a while I think like all places, it has it's pros and cons but that's going to be typical of any freshman dorm. Hope that helped!
Okay say I want to go to UT(I’m a junior in hs) and wanted to move w a potential significant other is that something that could happen?? Like getting a one bedroom apartment and living with then?
hi, nice video! :)) Are dorm options limited for spring semester transfer students? I'm hoping to transfer for Spring 2022, and I was wondering how different the housing process will be for me.
Choosing where to live is very stressful. I'm gonna be a biology major so i want somewhere near my classes. Plus I'm not good at talking to people so finding a roomate scares me lmao
uff i feel ya - I recommend trying to talk to some people in FB groups first to see but most of my friends who have gotten random roomies (including myself) had pretty good luck. same goes with close walks to campus! I would check out some private dorms in that side of campus possibly!
Hello! Im an incoming McCombs student and I'm having a tough time. So there are dorms and apartments? What are their differences? For Business, which dorms and apartments are the best? For Freshman year do you think its best if I live single or joined? Thankssss
Hi! Honestly, I can't give too much feedback on ALL the dorms & apartments because collectively, there are probably well over 100 BUT dorms are usually run by the university while apartments are run by landlords or housing companies. For business, I would personally choose a dorm like Jester or San Jac since those are going to be the shortest walk to McCombs but that's just my experience! As far as single or joined, it's going to be easier to find joined housing but single isn't a bad option if you like being alone!
Good question! I think anything in North Campus or towards that direction is going to make for a short commute. However, Jester is always a great choice as you will also have a shorter commute that way and its very central to campus!
Hey Suzanna! What type of housing do you mean specifically? Prices for residences in Austin for students can range from anywhere between $500-$1800 a month depending on things like location, amenities, financial aid, etc and change VERY frequently
@@JuliaWezio Imma hit you up on IG but Imma be at UT around 2:30 ish today doing a video. So Hmu its about being passionate. Also me I usually eat like Waffles or a protein bar if I go workout

Oh good point! I will be honest, I didn't know about co-ops when I originally made this video but I'm glad that you mentioned it!

Could you make a dorm tour to give an idea how dorm at UT are settled?
Sure! I currently live in an apartment but I can show what it's like living here :)
Can you talk about the Callaway suites

They might be! I think that you may be limited for some time but by the time you enter the fall, the full housing option list should become available!

Does scholarship money help pay at Calloway??
it depends on the scholarship! if it is not restricted to solely tuition, you should be able to cash it out to use towards rent at Callaway!
