I'm a huge Lego fan, and I also care about environmental protection. I also think Lego should find environmentally friendly materials, but if these materials are not very strong and can't last a long time, I will be very sad.
Maybe Lego shouldn't search for a new type of material but rather use plastic-eating worms to solve the plastic problem. Also, I believe there is a News Review episode on plastic-gobbling worms, also presented by Neil and Beth.
Thank you for the great programmes. The only thing I would suggest to introduce verbs in the programme like this:
to shelve
to axe
to backtrack
instead of shelves, axes, backtracks
It was a very useful lesson because I was always confusing 'axe' and 'axis' 😊
We're glad to hear it's helped!
Thank you for lesson :) The vocabulary useful as always, in terms of axe my favourite idiom - to have an axe to grind
Please don't axe this program ~ Love the chemistry between Neil and Beth

Thanks! There are grate examples!
We're glad you found the lesson useful!
Lego backtracked on the plan of making bricks from recycled plastic. Lego shelved the plan of axing oil-based plastic because it doesn't reduce carbon emissions. However, Lego sales might drop because fans might not want to buy Lego that is not environmentally friendly.
Very good but don’t forget the preposition - lego backtracked on the plan.
@@bbclearningenglish Thank you for reminding me!
Lego is still outlooking growth in EBITDA as there aren’t environmentally friendly alternatives yet. Competitors don’t have the retail and marketing outreach that can take on Lego. On the sustainability front, Lego can set up a recycling program to mold new bricks out of melted down old bricks.
Great video and explanation 🎉
Thank you you are great 🌹
