It is so wild to come back and watch this 8 years later. i remember seeing the rat rod vs. lambo episode an being hooked ever since. I've been on MTOD since the day it came to be but coming back and watching the old YT originals has been amazing. So glad you guys started what you started and kept it going. True legends
They arrived with half of a body and an engine in the back of another car and they left with "almost" complete car. There is some kind of magic to watching them setting up the major components, that's what makes this show so good.
Putting roadkill behind a paywall was a decision frowned upon by almost everyone who watched the show, but it's a decision that was made, and I can understand it. I do, HOWEVER, strongly believe that all the videos released that were free on UA-cam should be kept up on UA-cam.
Thats freaking awesome. I also put a Chrysler motor in a Cadillac Hearse. 383 BB. with 16 inches of lift and 44 inch ground Hawgs!!!!> Keep building what you want. Love this!!!!!!!!
@@01Elantraaa i forgot which one it was but it was the one where they thrashed the wagon and van in the desert. I still wish they would've put off-road tires on the wagon. Best episode in my opinion.
Really looking like they brought back the popular episodes to try to drive traffic to their website/subscription service, I'm just happy I can watch some episodes again. Seriously MT, if you're traffic on your own service is that low, maybe consider the fact no one outside the US can use the website, and subscription services are spread so thin. Just re-list it all on youtube again, you'll get the same views back through that you got previously
Watching this show at 145am with a migrane...why? Because your show is awesome! Keep these shows coming. You guys have the best car show out there...building stuff to have fun in, and keep us laughing our asses off while you do it! Thanks!
An Ostrich, a Buffalo and you had an Elephant in the back of the suburban... I was just waiting for you guys to say that! Great episode - straight axle gassers with velocity stack intakes are Da Bomb !
Antifreeze does nothing for cooling. It just lubricates and prevents corrosion as well as changing the freezing and boiling point. Running straight water with a high pressure cap and additive will drop water temps drastically.
This was the very first Roadkill episode I ever saw...been hooked ever since to this down to earth brilliant show!!! 😃 It is awesome and so are Dave and Finn's personalities!!! Warm greetings from Lahore, Pakistan!!!
I ran my old 93 Silverado 350 tbi out of oil and it fried a rod bearing and blew a head gasket. Puked all of its fluids out all over the new paved driveway lol. But had to sell it and got my first jeep for $1,250. 98 xj limited 4.0 4x4. But now that's gone I went and got a another jeep xj for $800 and it's the same thing but a sport and a lot better shape then my old one lol.
If you ever have a similar wiring issue, a process I was shown once that works in a pinch is to wire a head light in place of the fuse. When the short occurs, the headlight lights up, and you can then (hopefully) go around shaking the wiring in places to try and find where the short is. It's a hack, but so far the couple times I've had to do it, I've found the short within minutes.
Thanx guys for the help ive been needing !!! I have a 85 Chevrolet Suburban 454 70,000 Original miles that has the same problem with the trailer lights and blown fuses . it requires a 15 amp fuse and i tried to upgrade to a 20 amp and it still blows the fuse . I thought it was the female end of the connector but as you so generously stated " The wire is rubbing on the frame rail causing a dead short makes perfect since. thanx again
Hey guys. My names max Morrison and I live in virginia. The 55 is my favorite car ever. You guys are awesome. I've always been a gear head but not as much until I've seen roadkill. And finnegan,I'm growing a gotee just like yours
6.5 miles per gallon. Holy ozone layer. In the UK my daily work commute would cost £40 a day just in petrol. They are driving this 1100 miles and gas isn't as cheap in the US as it once was. It must have cost a fortune to do this! Entertaining show but how he said 6.5 miles per gallon without breaking into tears I'll never know!
US still has incredibly cheap fuel. They're whining about five bucks a gallon, which IIRC is about 80-90 Euro cents a liter. Here in Finland it's been 1,70 a liter for a long time, lowered to 1,40 a while ago though.
***** Supreme is below $3 a gallon now in California. About 200 gallons will be about $600, but business expenses are deductible, and as stated I am quite sure a gas card is part of their comp package.
I was inspired by your show to off-road my f-150 and i got stuck and my dad had to come pull me out now hes pissed! Thanks a lot ROADKILL! JK not your fault i love your show!
for your problems turning off the suburban. There is a rod on the steering column on the left side of chevy trucks. i know im a bit late but if you slide the bottom sleeve down and grab the top rod with plyers push it towards the firewall. but not all the way as it will put you into accessory. Also if the key wont start the vehicle you can grab that rob and pull it towards the steering wheel.
One night while high school aged, my beater overheated. I got tired of waiting for the pressure under the rad cap to bleed off so I used a piece of 2x2 to open it from a distance. I knew what would happen but I didn't expect a delay followed by a 30ft geyser that launched my rad cap into the air. It was pretty epic. Everything hot made angry noises when I refilled it with garden hose water.
+MrZX1206 When they talked about the face lift from the hot coolant , it reminded me of my mishap when the pressure cap released missing my head but not the coolant . I hurt for 2 weeks with a serious face lift.
Hey, I had and 85 Suburban, that in 2002 had 325k on it when I sold it for $2200. It still pulled a Bobcat on a flatbed at least 3 times a week in the Texas Hill Country, without an issue.
This is exactly how my perfect life would be! Working on/ breaking old cars and trucks and building them back better 😎, id be a happy man skipping to work everyday

Pyrex but that would make to much sense and that's not what roadkill is about. I know this comment is 2 years old but still.
if they actually used coolant instead of water they'd probably do a shit load better
