Only difference is that I save between 1.5 to 2 hours that I would have to commute each day plus over $300 in gas money and tolls every month.

I moved from downtown Minneapolis to a small town in northern MN so my fiancé could pursue a public defender position with this government. I now work 100% remote and since moving from the city, I’ve lost 50 lbs, my mental health is better, I’m much happier. Am I a loser now?

As a Minneapolis resident myself, I remember this being the case before the pandemic. Downtown traffic was impacted since everyone shut their Skyway's doors on the weekends, when that would've been the only time some residents can be out and about in the city.

We only hear about a sliver of the crime going on. I live downtown, and it's insane what I see from my windows. We're only hearing about the worst of crimes, or if someone blogs something. Meanwhile, my area for example used to be relatively quiet. Now it's full of open crime for over 18 hours a day when the temperature is in the thirties and above.

My wife is the manager of an office in Saint Paul and gets her paycheck from the city government. She has a staff of mostly women and the number is around 20 ranging in age from late 20's to early 60's. 18 women and 2 men. She has been at work the whole time during and after the pandemic for over 20 years. She and one other person still come in 5 days a week. The rest? They "work from home" when THERE IS NO WORK FOR THEM TO DO. For going on 4 years now, they still claim fear of COVid to keep the grift going. About 6 months ago, they were outraged when they were required to come in for 1 Day a week. SO...they come in either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, slam the doors of their offices angrily, and do nothing anyway. They are winning now, because my lady has to pay for parking everyday, come in everyday, and work every day making less money than half of them. And for some reason, they vacation a lot, often traveling abroad. NO, the government made people that actually work "losers."

She has a staff of mostly women and the number is around 20 ranging in age from late 20's to early 60's. 18 women and 2 men. She has been at work the whole time during and after the pandemic for over 20 years. She and one other person still come in 5 days a week. The rest? They "work from home" when THERE IS NO WORK FOR THEM TO DO. For going on 4 years now, they still claim fear of COVid to keep the grift going. About 6 months ago, they were outraged when they were required to come in for 1 Day a week. SO...they come in either Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, slam the doors of their offices angrily, and do nothing anyway. They are winning now, because my lady has to pay for parking everyday, come in everyday, and work every day making less money than half of them. And for some reason, they vacation a lot, often traveling abroad. NO, the government made people that actually work "losers."

The fear was always that automated production via robotic machinery was going to render the blue collar worker obsolete.. No. There are too many variables for many blue collar jobs for that to happen. A.I. will render the white collar middle class obsolete much faster as the only thing happening is allocating numbers along with making decisions that AI can make - faster and more efficiently. The morons that fell in love with working from home during the pandemic signed their career's death warrant. The lucky ones are the Boomers that will just miss this economic asteroid. The genuinely unlucky ones are those born in the 70's and 80's; too young to retire, too old to get experienced in a trade...
