TP Ashish Gupta Chief Investment Officer at Axis AMC believes that there are still areas of potential growth in the small and midcap sectors. He sees signs of increasing consumption patterns particularly in the two-wheeler industry which is outpacing growth in passenger vehicles. Some intriguing consumption trends are emerging which may have long-lasting effects. However he mentions that they are currently underweight on IT services companies and expresses confidence in the current strong real estate cycle.
