Jack Kruschen would later appear as "Big Greeny" in the second season episode of "The Lawless Years" in "The Big Greeny Story." But in the '70s and '80s he was in several episodes of "Barney Miller" playing a variety of guest starring roles. I wonder if James Gregory, who played Inspector Luger on Barney Miller, had anything to do with the casting since he had worked with him in this series.
