I love hearing this producer's production in anime after loving Fate/Stay Night's projects with Ufotable as an animation studio I'm so glad they got to work with them for Demon Slayer. Everything in this series is done so well.
Well she fought a stronger demon then mitsuri and beside shinobu decision she made during that fight with douma the reason they won. I don't think mitsuri would be able to activate her mark around douma as well if she was in that fight instead.

Idk if it's just me but I love the way this theme has a "magical girl" feeling to it.
This has madoka magica all over, it's not too outlandish to believe it's fully intentional
I mean look at mitsuri design and fighting style she definitely has that "magical girl" look too😭
Because Kajiura also composed Madoka Magica (and Mai Hime/Otome, but this one is less known).

sadly mitsuri almost died coz she didnt defeat the demon she is just lucky that tanjiro killed the main body
