Don't be too concerned with "impressing" the interviewer. They have seen enough, they won't be easily impressed. ^^ In a case interview, your foremost objective is to find a practical solution. A recap (and the clarifying part after that) is good if it helps you form a clear mental picture of the problem. That's what you should focus on.
