Lynette supported Tom 100% and had his back and he allowed Nora to massively overstep boundaries into his family and marriage. Lynette saw through Nora from day one and she was absolutely right about her Tom was a blind idiot not to see her coming a mile away

This was definitely the worst couple of the show. Lynette was such a control freak. If she didn't want kids she should have taken steps for that. Tom was just annoying. He let Lynette bully him around until he snapped and did something totally crazy.
She took birth control, and sometimes that didn’t work. And real to life she probably couldn’t get her tubes tied because doctors don’t allow women to do so until they reach a certain age, have X amount of kids and their husband’s permission. Tom could’ve got a vasectomy but I believe when it came up he refused

The point of the show is that they werent all great people. Theres no perfect relationship, no secret formula to making things work. The reason is Tom and Lynette loved each other, despite both being bad people, and willing to overlook each other's actions because thats family. After cancer, tornado, the shooting... everything seems small compared to waking up and sleeping next to a person who would stick through all these problems.
