Thank you for showing me the whole movie. Truly, an award winning masterpiece at barely three minutes.
Lol
This is like an snl skit
@@trogdor5668 "Rebecca, sugar, you gotta leave your family behind to seek out the right college."
"You know I can't leave, my mom has an anvil stuck in her head ever since 'the accident' and who'll be there for her if I leave? Cousin Fred? Ha, not with his drinkin problems"
Cousin Fred: "I LURV YOU Becca. JUst not as much as I lurv my moonshine."

LIAR!!!!!!!!!
@@hobbesthegoblin where’s the sassy friend who will always be around with sassy answers to life’s questions.
This brings up a whole mix of emotions. It's never fun to have to look after your own parents, the people who are supposed to be raising you, teaching you and helping to guide you through life. It's a great portrayal of kids who have to grow up super fast and feel stuck in life, something that I do see often in film and television and yet it never feels like it's talked about enough somehow. This will be a good film, but if your not in the emotional state to watch this because you're in the same position, it's ok if you decide not to watch it.
Tbh those type of kids usually grown up to be great adults. It sucks they lose part of their childhoold and teen years but at least they are very mature for the challenges in life and they just surf through it.
If you spell okay with two letters they both need to be big. Alright?
@@hetrogamr84 no😂lol
@@asniffer6532 I don't think we just surf through it. I think when your life starts out having to grow up fast and help your parents, you end up with other issues that make life very hard to surf through. At least in my experience and the experience of many people I know
I've had a parent that cannot feel love. He has NPD so he can't actually love anyone, even his own children. To have two parents that actually clearly love you and care about you, even if they don't fully understand their position in your life necessarily, it must be a wonderful thing in it's own way. It reminds me of the importance of listening to that little voice you hear, that tells you to stand still and just listen for a minute. There is love and magic in most of us if we just let it in.
Question: Is your parent with NPD able to do acts of kindness, or is he too emotionally distant/uninterested even to do that?
Whats NPD
@@britgaddis Narcissistic Personality Disorder
@@tintinismybelgian so people who have that cant feel love or love anyone
@@britgaddis Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The phrase "narcissist" is often misused to identify someone who's being selfish, maybe not even that much. But actual narcissism has diagnosis criteria and it goes WAYYYYYYY deeper than most people realize. For example, narcissists make up only a small percentage of the population (1-5% probably of the population, The actually percentage is unknown). Everyone knows at least one usually. Fun fact: the majority of narcissists are abusive towards their children and parterns! Even though they make up a small percentage of the population, they make up a much larger percentage of the prison population. I highly advise you to READ THE DIAGNOSIS CRITERIA so that you can spot them more easily and avoid them. It's only 9 things and they have to meet 5 to qualify for a diagnosis. Someone doesn't have to qualify to still be a horrible person.
I love that one 'strong, focused' character that keeps on saying things like *you can* - and go on to quote inspirational wisdomness! It's more 'heavy' when the person on the receiving end of it, has *already* been *achieving* realistic set goals in their young, daily lives, through selflessness - a great virtue. Hope this story ends in a rewarding way!
I'm a person with autism, its so rare for a person to have kids and raise them, because its believed that a person with intelectual disabilities does not have the capability and patience to take care themselves and one adult and pet, but I believe people like me can if we put our heart to it and never give up, this movie represents inclusion for disabled parents can raise kids just as good as anyone without disability, break the taboo and give hope for all disabled people that want to be parents, get married and be independent
"WE ARE A FAMILY. BUT ONE OF THESE DAYS YOUR GONNA MOVE OUT, GET MARRIED. THAT'S WHAT KIDS ARE SUPPOSED TO DO." 💔😢
I can’t believe Kiernan is all grown up now! Last time I saw her was in Mad Men!
shes a bit of a meme lord as well lol
You missed the whole Sabrina era
An uglyer then ever.
@@lexibrowning7447 I miss Sabrina 😢
@@lexibrowning7447 I wanted to watch it but now it's cancelled
Even this trailer could make me cry. Maybe cuz I just graduated & it all felt so real
I really want to see this .......looks like a bold and self-intuitive film which peaks my interests. Kiernan Shipka is a phenomenal actress. Would love to see her in more roles.
don't be sleeping on Jean Smart!
I love it, I can't wait to watch it.
CODA is almost this exact story. It was an amazing movie I bet this will be too. I'm so glad stories like these are being made.
This trailer exactly reminded me of Coda too!!!!! ❤️
I just spent a good eleven minutes trying to find the name of the book this reminded me of - and eureka: the book I was remembering was Kimberly Willis Holt's 'My Louisiana Sky' - the Wildflower trailer has the same premise (non-disabled daughter of two mentally-disabled parents), only set in 1950's Louisiana - all I could remember was that in the book the daughter's name was 'Tiger-Ann', named for her mother's favorite pet kitten, but luckily that was enough to narrow it down! - & while I was searching for the book I ALSO found out that there actually already IS a movie adaptation of My Louisiana Sky, which was made in 2001 + Michael Cera was in it as the daughter's friend!
It's giving me Coda vibes, and I'm here for it.
That was my thought too. Same vibe, different “disability.”
lol more than vibes
Lol I was going to say it’s pretty much just like Coda..
I felt the same way. I wanted to get away from my abusive father but I needed to stay for my mom, little brother and sister because I was always worried about what would happen if I wasn’t around to be there for them.
Hope things worked out for all of you.
just call the police. you were blessed with the abusive parent not being the mother. they'll easily take an abusive MAN away, the moment it's a woman they turn a blind eye.
@@indiehead457 ah yes, cause im sure she never thought of calling the police 🤦🏻♀️ great piece of advice 👍 She is certainly blessed. 🙄
@@user-fi7bb1ds3s when a man raises his hand to a woman he can be put in jail literally so fast. when a woman hits people including her husband nobody cares because "he's a man and she's a woman". stfu. you haven't lived in a situation like this.
@@indiehead457 you think after calling the police the problems would vanish?
Definitely watching this it looks like a beautiful story
This is pretty intriguing. I've never seen a moving about a kid who doesn't have special needs raised by two parents who do. Be curious to see this play out.
This low-key looks so good and the casting 🙌💕
This sounds amazing, both heart-warming and heartbreaking ❤️💔
this movie looks amazing, can’t wait to see it.
I already saw it. It was called CODA🌈
@@mananimal3644diffrent movie but still loved it
Wonderful, delightful and beautiful movie, i loved kiernan Shipka's acting!!
This is gonna be a good one.
i recognize the actor who plays kiernan shipka's character's younger version from anne with an e! really good to see her again, i remember her performance in that show blew me away.
Welp... I need a box of tissues and I have only seen the trailer. Seriously though, I'm glad to see Keirnan Shipka going back and using her acting talent. 👏
Sabrina is so beautiful
Damn as long as Charlie plummer is innit I'm watching it ❤️
man, maybe im just in a soft spot right now but this trailer hit all my bones, my parents are a very old couple, my mom is going trough a heart sicknes and she needs a surgery, i dont have the money, my dad is just this awful person i am so far away working my ass off in a factory, i lost my way long time ago, i give up on my dreams and hopes, now i just wanna help my mom whatever i can
I love how it actually showcases the realistic goals of daily living and achieving them, there's so many people in the world who work their life taking care of their family and are never seen for it. People just say they don't work hard or don't really have a job. I wish more people knew how hard it is to live with people with dissabilities and recognized it. Definately will watch this one 💖🥹👏
This movie will speak to the unspoken and I hope this movie gets awards in the nearby unknown future :)
I definitely relate to this and now I really want to watch it. Feeling like you have to take care of your parents when you’re not even 21 yet. Even though you want to leave and do other things. And people in your life keep telling you to leave, but it feel’s impossible.
I did not understand how the person in charge of student affairs did not understand her family situation and insisted on her going to a distant college
Nice to see Victor Rasuk as Mr. Vasquez. He’s really talented and has been putting in work since his teen years, starring in _Raising Victor Vargas_ .
Can't wait for this movie.
Finally a movie worth the price of admission of true love and devotion.
Sometimes knowing more can leave you wanting to see more. I want to watch this. All of it.
omg Alexandra Daddario too this looks sooo good and heartwarming!!
This looks like an emotional rollercoaster
I'm love Kiernan Shipka! And I'm love Alexandra Daddario! They are in the same movie? My dreams comes true! But if seriously...I would love to watch this movie, I think that is gonna be great!)
I have seen. It is called CODA.
There are so many movies with this title I swear. Wildflower from 1991 and Wildflowers from 2000 are my particular favourites... i dont think any of them are related tho
I love the 1991 version with Juliette Lewis.
This hit home hard.
My grandpa told me before he passed away he said...(he was suffering from cancer and my mom and dad was taking care of him)
Greatest gifts parent could give to their children is two things...giving them life and quick death(parents).
This looks wholesome.
Bambi's a cute name, you wouldn't see me abbreviate that.
This looks so damn cute.
Should be great, plus Kiernan showing off the acting chops
im so happy for samantha hyde cause she used to be a background character and now shes a MOTHER likee...
This hits different when it’s your situation
That's looks good. Wanna see it.
Kiernan movie? Yesss omg
I CANNOT WAIT TO WATCH THIS!
this movie opened my eyes, made me appreciate my mother a lot more
I can't wait!!! 😍😍😍🍿
Seems very wholesome.
Very good and inspiring movie! ⭐⭐⭐
Kiernan is a really good actress. But, I feel she needs to do more Horror films and SyFy type stuff. Sabrina Chilling Adventures was dope, also that killer bird movie she was in.
Typecasting isn't good acting.
@@DA-js7xz not always but sometimes it can be.
@@ThatFunnyGuyXx ya like Hugh Jackman for being Wolverine.
Then Dwayne Johnson who always get the same kinda character or he plays himself in every role he gets.. lol i can't even tell.
In a similar vein to "I am Sam." Interesting premise and it seems to approach it from a mature angle.
I knew a young man in a situation like this, with two special needs parents. The son was much higher functioning. It was encouraging to see how supportive his family and neighbors were.
We need more contraception
Looks fire
This movie will make me cry I can already tell
This looks so good
Can’t wait to stream it since I know exactly what it’s about
This reminds me of the 1993 Movie Benny and Joon. Like if they had part 2, it would be them having a child.😊
I see Charlie Plummer I immediately watch
YESSSSS, they got Sabrina telling MUCH better handled stories!! 💖
Suban el trailer en español se ve interesante ojalá y la película llegue a latonamerica
finally, a good drama movie to watch...
I love wildflower
Okay this looks beautiful
This looks great!
top of the world performance by wes reeve, I can’t seem to find this song, it was played in the movie.
I appreciate this and love the representation.
Beautiful 😍 trailer.
My husband was born to 2 childlike parents and his own great grandmother broke up his parents. So this movie will be very interesting to watch.
nice 2 minute short film. enyojed it
Anything kiernan shipka is in...im most likely gonna watch🙂
Is that the ugly girl in the tumbnail?
Dash Mihok is a great actor.

I Thinking Film Great Actress Alexandra Daddario.
When is this movie coming out?
This looks really good 😢
What song is playing in the background?
I saw the cast and clicked it
... i'm not crying, you are ...
This looks promising!
Man, that process of having a family is so fast.
Chad Michael Murray in Freak Friday is that you? 😱😂
I always wondered if I did have children that they will be like me and have to struggle with autism and dyslexia like I did . i really want to see this movie
If they do, then at least they will have you to help them through anything and give alot of love they need
I would never want to pass my mental health issues onto a child. That seems too selfish and narcissistic.
Most likely you will pass on your genetic issues to your child, which is extremely unfair and, IMO, cruel as hell. Autism IS genetic.
I loved her in Mad Men.
We must always take care of our parents as they took care of us when we were babies.
Sheeeesh alright I'll watch it
What’s the title of the background song?
short films are the way of the future! no need to waste time in theaters or spend money.
This looks good
wow what a story!
