Just got an 1181N delivered today - table was pre-assembled, including the grommets and oil pan (thanks!) and belt guard was already installed. Note to new people, there's two screws holding the oil pan in - you'll want to remove those. And there's no longer a plug in the motor for the LED light. And the extra brushes didn't exist :) Otherwise these instructions still hold up!

I have done it with two guys. But not easy for 1 person :)
In the box with all the supplies, I'd say you want at least a second person. Out of the box, just hauling up the machine head, is doable (but recommend some good upper body strength). Table is lighter but bulky enough that you may want a second person to help with corners.

does this machine come with a brushed or brushless servo motor? Or do you offer both options when it says to choose if we want the needle positioner or not
The standard motor is brushed and the needle positioner J7R motor is brushless.
I'm not sure how to adjust belt, i have to use my hand wheel to start sewing. machine hums and doesn't move. Can you please help? TY

Hi I just got this model my wife ordered , Wish she would have gotten the table assembled. The table it came with is a tan looking table and not like the gray one?
Each manufacturer can use a different table system, that’s probably there normal setup.
What is the difference between a clutch motor and a servo motor? Please pardon me if I have been inaccurate in this question?
A clutch motor runs at a single, constant speed. The clutch, controlled mechanically by the foot pedal, engages or disengages the motor from the sewing machine head, and to go slower you need to feather the clutch so it only partially engages and slips. A servo motor runs at variable speeds and is controlled electronically by the foot pedal. Unless you always sew at full speed all the time, you almost certainly want a servo motor.
Does industrial juki make a cylinder or free arm?
