Make a video on Aesop Rock. Breaking down his lyrics would give a lot of lyrics a lot of information and would teach a lot of rap to up and coming rappers
Wow this is the B E S T rap cadence video I’ve watched thus far. You truly helped me break down the steps to figuring out my style and sound thank you ❤🎉 GOD bless.
I write conscious rap and catchy rhymes and I’m pretty sure they’re pretty good, I’ve been told their pretty good. There’s just one problem tho… im ass at rapping 😂
I feel I'm talented enough to rap about socially relevant even at times political themes and still use punchlines and metaphors cleverly. I don't feel I have to choose one or the other. Great video though.
I started watching ur videos in 2020,,,at high school I'm labeled as one of the best and it's because of you ❤️ make a screenshot cause when I make it I'ma tell people that's because of you 🎉
currently, i'm going for a more intellectual storytelling rap style with experimental sounds. heavily influenced by eminem, kendrick, cole, drake, and nicki, and also 80s rock like queen, i see myself doing a lot of concept projects & genre fusion
I have wrote some stuff but I feel like I’m basic but I have recently started to write politically and work on some punch line bars and now it’s seemed to help a lil bit with creativity. I wanna come across real an authentic so I kinda stayed away from the k-fab writing for a long time. However, writing punch line bars, sort of lead me into the whole k-fab thing which has also helped with creativity. Now just need to find my voice, work on my flow and delivery skills. Thanks Drew!!
MF DOOM is one of if not the greatest MC's we ever had and he didnt listen to rap. he did his own thing and made music based on stuff he liked like comics and junk food. everybody starts out wanting to have substance but you cant force it you gotta find it in yourself. dont try to come across as authentic BE authentic, authenticity isnt always about politics or heartbreak. it just means unapologetic honesty.
50 actually had to make his flow slow after he got shot; he physically couldn't rap the way he originally did. His story is incredible. I highly recommend Hustle Smarter and The 50th Law (both books are on UA-cam)
not a rapper or anything but heres something that will make you lightyears better and more understanding of your style paint the art youd enjoy in a museum. make the music you like to listen too. and this can go for so many aspects of life too but itll save you so much more time if you make the noise youd like to listen to.
for one you're young so it just takes time, but also development. as much time as you spend getting good at writing raps? you gotta spend just as much effort on saying them, & saying them outloud is important but specifically on a mic being recorded is its only skillset. that's why they're called "recording artists". don't just record to get the words out, to get it done. play around when you're recording, trying different voices, try different energies. this will in turn help your writing too, because recording (and performing) impact the way you write, since you now have internalized the process on how the words are performed. you'll know what sounds good on a mic before you even write it, & will stop writing things that are impossible to actually perform (which everyone does in the beginning)
I write from all of things this video mentioned... It comes naturally, just wondering should I pair it back for my first album, anyone have any thoughts on it?
i want punch lines with lyricals and metaphors. can anyone help me describe "remble" rap style. humble and braggy an gritty at the same time. but says it so nonchalant
My Guy I don't see any formulations to work with here. Biggie got his style from incorporating Jamaican drums. To his style 2pac got his rap style from the uplifting speeches of pastors. Bone thugs in harmony got their rap style from auctioneers. Wu-tang got their style from mimicking the flow of Saturday afternoon martial art movies on channel 5 son. I don't see how your case studies for how some rappers deliver bars constitute how to find our own rap styles. Those are two completely different things You're showing us your favorite description of a cake but you didn't show us how to make one.
i mainly listen to nba youngboy, ynw melly, and nle choppa so im making my style that goes with theres but idk how i wrote sum lyrics for the first time im 14 and my friends think its good but i find it lacking a solid flow it flows well but in some spots its like the flow stops or slowed down and starts back up

Bro I’m trying so hard but I just run out of words.
Thoughtful Lyrical Rap with Punchlines.
Lupe Fiasco's The Cool went platinum
Well most of the big SoundCloud rappers had a short lived life so, we won’t ever really know what else they had in Store tbh
I'ma working right now thank you for this . Good all luck to all MC's
Im having trouble because I went through my lyrics and I have punchlines so days but their a message in my songs most of the time
Thoughtful lyrics, but I'm adding on to that as I learn

Mr "ONE TRACK MIND"
I’m a mix of all of them. At least I think.
Depends on my mood, though generally I'm more into "thoughtful lyrics" with occasional punch lines
True ❤
Im wanna work on making more punchlines and being crafty with these punchlines but talk about alot of the issues we face in life.
Thoughtful

@darkskinwhite thanks man I just recently started saying them to people with a beat and it sounds good
