I would LOVE if she did a range based on makeup looks of the decades. Something like that I can imagine a lovely 90s quad to go with the 90s lipsticks.
I love this kind of video! It’s about beauty and history! I like to get some background and more information than just what’s new! Thanks for mixing it up.
Such a fun watch! I am so sad that I missed Fire Rose. I’m very fair and love her lighter quads like Exaggereyes, Celestial Pearl and Pillow Talk. I just find them so quick and easy to use, similar to my beloved Tom Ford wet/dry quads. ❤
You are correct! I actually never thought of that before. But there’s the similarities because Charlotte is the one who developed that original wet dry formula for Tom Ford
I wasn't that interested in this video when I saw the title. "Old makeup. Sigh.". But once I started it I saw immediate value. I have a fair number of the CT quads, but have been wearing other palettes these days. This review reminded me how many great quads I have, and need to start using again. Also I appreciated your editorial knowledge. I had forgotten how relatively new this brand is. 2013! She's made herself part of the fundamental beauty lexicon in only 11 years. That's impressive. Exaggereyes is my most used. And yes, Charlotte designed for herself. Since the sale, I don't know what this company is doing. It seems rudderless. Thanks for the video!💚
Fantastic comment from you as usual. I think you’re right. Rudderless is a great way to describe it. Wow. That’s so on point. And when they did this last release and started talking about all the crazies and fads that it fits into, I felt like it was slightly embarrassing for the brand.
Hi lovely Rebecca !! Wow much appreciated look into the past and current pallets of CT . You saved the best till last 😊Fire Rose 🌹 is so pretty. I currently do not own any of her pallets as hard pan on Golden Goddess put me off . Great fun video thanks for sharing ❤🤗
Oh a walk down memory lane with Charlotte Darling. You know every time I see or think of Desert Haze I’m like that is such a great quad! She has some great classic palettes. They never go out of style.
Ps. While I am not a big shadow user this video was so much fun and I liked seeing the snapshot and walk down memory lane of all those CT shadows!!!😅😅😅
I adore ct quads! My favorite are pillow talk and egager eyes. From limited edition I love star aura and Celestial pearl! I guess your favorite is egager eyes? 😊
I am so surprised how much love exaggereyes gets. Minus fire Rose but the ones you chose are the ones most commonly stated. People love those shades. You are in good company
That Fire Rose quad is gorgeous! The only CT quad I have is the Golden Godess. I did get all but one of the 12 pan holiday palettes she used to make. I didn’t see one of those for last year. I do use her “The Classic” pencil eyeliners and I love those. They’re super basic, but they work for me. I do love her Eyes to Mesmerize eye creams and I have several, if only they didn’t crease.
This was so much fun! I knew Fire Rose would be your favorite! Count me among the Americans still hoping against hope it gets re-released here! 😩 I’m so sad I never got it! I love her quads. The mattes blend so well and you always get a pretty look. They are just dependable! Some of the pop shades tend to hard pan over time, but the pop shades were my introduction to glittery eyes so I’ll always love them! My current favorites are Uptown Girl and Sophisticate. (It’s no coincidence they are 2 of the cooler, least orange quads) But I would buy the old Rebel in a heartbeat!
I’m so confused about fire Rose, Lisa. When she introduced it it was her new formula and they acted like this was going to revolutionize the industry. I mean, I’m used to hyperbole from Charlotte the brand of course, but this was this new innovative formula that they were seeming to hint would be the thing they were going to use from this point on and it just kind of died a strange death… But they keep bringing it back in Europe only. I would love to know the story behind it because you know there’s a story.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Exactly!! There is a big story there, and I’d love to know what it is! I downloaded her weird app to watch her AI and creepy “Elton John is being held prisoner and made to record commercials” videos, and I was hoping that maybe it might drop there for members. I’ve even looked at Selfridges etc to try to get it that way, but no dice! I refuse to pay $400 on Ebay so I can only watch videos and admire the quad from afar. It seems it will forever be my white whale.
Haha amazing! You should have ranked them too. I only have 3; Celestial pearl, the queen of glow and fire rose. Fire rose released in Australia at Xmas. I received it, used it once and purchased a back up. It is the best and looks amazing on my eyes. Many hugs
I definitely thought about ranking them but I thought, instead, I would just do my favorite. The thought of ranking them was putting me off doing the video because it’s too difficult of a task ha ha
Great video going through all of her Quads. I have near enough all of them too but i just don’t reach for them as much anymore. But seeing this has reminded me to start using the ones i use to really love…my favourites were Pillow Talk, Exaggereyes and Rock Chic. I don’t find myself reaching for the warm tones however i did use to really love what was once called Dolce Vita and i agree with you with Fire Rose one of her ultimate bests. I hope she does re do Glamour Muse as i only wore that for the Purple. She really is missing out on the purple, lilac, lavender tones which i feel would do really well x
I often read people's complaints that CT's shadows all look too similar and I agree, they do. However, I believe brands should stay true to their esthetic (not sure if I'm using the correct word). I think that was the downfall of Urban Decay. I remember when I first discovered UD and loved all their grungy green eyeshadow singles. I don't know what happened, but they started to change and I then lost my enthusiasm for the brand when I was in the mood for something "different".
It’s so so true. When we think Charlotte Tilbury we have a look in mind and that look is kind of a smoky amber copper warm look. And it is her aesthetic and it ends up becoming her brand. I do definitely agree with you
Fire 🔥 🌹Rose is the one that got away. It was during the “sell out” time is makeup. You had to jump, set alarms for launches, and it caused lots of FOMO. Thanks for that epic swatch-fest. ❤
You won’t believe this, but I found the Fire Rose on Amazon in England, and I live in So Cal. It just arrived and in perfect condition. It is beautiful 🎉❤
Bella Sofia, then uptown girl were the 1st palettes I purchased from her. I absolutely loved them, got compliments all the time when I wore them. I actually bought the Bella Sofia twice, since I hit pan on, actually both of them. So great for travel! Then I bought the Fire Rose palette, and was blown away, however 2 of the eyeshadows fell out of the pan after awhile. I was heartbroken. I did not care for the Sophisticated (too chalky for me) or the Golden Goddess, not enough depth. The Rock Chick didn’t suit my coloring, similar to Uptown Girl, but like that one much better. . I’m looking at Queen of Glow now. lol. Great video Rebecca.
I stopped buying eyeshadow quads from CT years ago, too warm leaning for me but really wish I had gotten a hold of that original Rebel quad, beautiful greens which I am crazy into these days. And not simply because it’s St. Paddy’s day. 🍀 I am super impressed that you were able to get all of the swatches on your one forearm, that is true dedication Rebecca! 😊 Love this video, and all the history of CTs quads.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty well, they were kind of squished together but 30 quads on one arm…definitely impressive!! And I could make out the gorgeous greens in that original Rebel quad so I am equal parts happy and sad with it. 😘
Great video. I have decluttered most of my Charlotte Tilbury. Initially I loved what she put out. But over time it was too warm and similar. I do agree she does have a very nice formula. Whenever she announces something new, I still get excited. But, admit I haven’t purchased anything in a while from the brand. Thanks for a fun review!❤
I LOVE her quads, so beautiful and easy to use. I appreciate the step by step application system she uses. It’s as though she is telling us we can be glamour pusses with little effort. Well, I LOVE her brand overall. Even though she sold her company several years ago, it doesn’t seem like it when compared to other beauty brands who do the same thing. It definitely still feels as though she involved far more with the brand than maybe she really is at this time. Anyhow, I have sooo many of her palettes including the gorgeous Dolce Vita/Bella Sophia and Desert Fox, I have blue palette but can’t recall if it is the blue one you mentioned. Walk of Shame is one of my favorites! I feel like the name changed with the outpouring of female empowerment and body positivity we’ve seen over the years ( happy for it) and some may have felt the name was shaming women for their sexual encounters. I like both names but the og Walk of Shame did seem bold yet playful. It has a youthful charm to it because I don’t know if we associate walk of shame with seasoned women in their 40s and beyond. I think women of that age walk proudly in those moments in a different way than a woman in her 20s. I don’t know about anyone else but a guy referring to a woman’s encounters as a walk of shame was quite different from girl friends using that term in jest with each other. I know my girlfriends and I used that phrase during our single days. I’ll just say there were quite a few pickups with disheveled hair and clothes, shoes in hand, slept in makeup, and maybe once with no clothes wrapped in a sheet giggling all the way home while replaying the prior night’s activities. My girlfriends and my secrets are wrapped up in some belly laughing walk of shame moments😂😂 Of all the Charlotte Tilbury quads, I did not pick up the Fire Rose palette!! That is still one i’m bummed I missed. Why won’t she rerelease this one😩😩😩 I have long loved quads for their ease of use and Charlotte is top tier for that every day pretty vibe. I’m still die hard Chanel too, love love their quads. I enjoy TF quads but not as much as others. My new favorite is YSL! Their quads ( well i only have one) are pigmented, easy to use, and oh boy the packaging hollers luxury. I’m good with that because they are amazing! There I go again using “they” as though I have more than one😜 Thank you for putting your arm through all those swatches!!!
Oh we are so in agreement once again. The YSL quads are just sensational and are my new favorite as well. It’s funny what you say about the walk of shame. You’re right. I think of it in terms of kidding with my friends and laughing and the empowerment we took from it. But there is the darker side of men using it to refer to insecure women who are very young. And that does make absolute sense actually. I’d like the way we used it so much better and I’m sure you do too.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty As always, your commentary is spot on! Do younger women even use walk of shame anymore? My nieces are either married or too young (hopefully) to use walk of shame. It did have such a playful empowerment that we took delight in using as if to say, you’re not going to make me feel ashamed about my choices, especially since we weren’t making them by ourselves. I honestly didn’t realize how many deeply warm quads Charlotte has in her collection. ohhh and the brush, I never knew she included brushes at one time. I would say I’m relatively new to CT, maybe using since 2018/2019 and my first purchase was her powder then I moved to other small items like her eyeliner and mascara. One year, I got one of her mystery boxes which was lovely because it contained a variety of products I had yet to try including eyeshadow, highlighter, lipstick, and flawless filter liquid highlighter. From then on I was sold. I can honestly say besides her creative exaggerations, Charlotte is my desert island brand. I really could use her brand from head to toe. Thanks for such a thorough review of her quads!
@@traciewarren1070 But we also kind of LOVE the creative exaggerations. DAHling, 9 out of 12 people surveyed said it gave them Charlotte-osity. Trademark!
My favorite is Exaggereyes, 2nd fave is Star Aura, 3rd Is Golden Goddess, but my most USED is Sophisticate. Thanks for doing this fun video! Love these!
Hello Rebecca!!! First I want to thank you for the great work you have done for us then I would love to see a Pillow talk Nessie come out of the water saying "hello darlings!!"!!!! 😂😂 I have the Pillow talk quad and one of the twelve pan pallette and I love both!!! The are sooo easy to use and subtle and pretty!!! At some point I will try the Sophisticate one. Thanks again!!! ❤❤❤
Great video, I forget how similar so many of her eyeshadow palettes are!! She also did a quad called fallen angel. It was one of her earliest ones. I loved it!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Back then she used to do fab step by step tutorials for all the products, which were actually really helpful for novice makeup users and really showed how to use the different products. I don’t think her latest stuff is anything really groundbreaking anymore. And your video reminded me how ‘samey’ lots of her palettes are. LOVE your videos and vibe! 😍🥰😘
Good Morning 🌞😃 Wow! Now that’s Mega Swatchfest! 😂 Ahh yes. Fire Rose. I was never fast enough to get that palette. Amazing that it was never duplicated again as she was so famous for doing. I do own many of the quads you have. Of the ones I have my favorite is Exaggereyes. Great historical video of CT. I wonder if the company that bought the CT name has the same business practices as… let’s say Ester Lauder. Makes me wonder how many other brands they acquired. And I wonder how long of a contract Ms Charlotte has as the “face” of the CT brand. Have a Wonderful Sunday! ~Ouiser/CeCe 🌹❤️
So the Puig brand has a lot of brands. It is a very mini mini mini version of Estée Lauder but they do have a lot of brands. And I noticed that they’re putting her in a lot of the ad campaigns again whereas, towards the end when she owned it, she was having her nieces do most of it. Above, there’s a comment that says they feel like they are rudderless now that they have sold and I think that’s a great way to describe it
I would guess the Fire Rose quad because it seems to be everyone's favorite. But never tried it & it was so hard to get!!Wonder why it was so limited?? Aww...I wore the Vintage Vamp on my wedding day 💓 it was my first CT purchase. I bought it in October 2019 at Nordstrom...you had to walk by the fancy luxe CT display to get to the designer shoe area where my hubby bought me my Manolos...gee seems so long ago 😳 I still love my Pop Shot single in Ultra Violet & been wearing it a lot lately 💜
What I love about this comment from you is that you’ve captured the way these things become part of our memories. Like when you described walking past her counter to get to the designer shoes I was kind of right there with you. And then I can feel the excitement too at the beautiful Shoes for your beautiful wedding and the memory. And it’s like the scent of chocolate chip cookies brings us back to our mother or something, this all becomes part of our important memories. I’m so glad you shared.
I loved this video!! 💖💄Yes I'm a CT fan & I have many of her quads. Before I ramble on I have to say I laughed to myself as you did all the swatches. I couldn't help but notice even though I know you tried to start with a clean slate each time, those pops sparkled on & on!! When I take off my makeup I can see all the pop on the pad which overtakes even the color of the shadows.🤣 The Fire Rose quad was hard to get & I was mad at myself for not getting it when it first came out. It was a time when she loosely used the term limited edition & it actually was limited. Though I had no shortage of her quads this truly bothered me. I wasn't going to pay the amounts that were being requested by those selling the pallette online so I waited. My daughter was seeing someone in the UK at the time & I saw it was available over there but not here. 🤔I thought it wasn't fair that I was unable to order off the UK site & it kept shipping me back to the US site. I finally spoke to him & had him order it & bring it to me when he came over here. I still have to get the Pillow Talk Dreams because I like the colors. I use the Vintage Vamp, Pillow Talk & Charlotte Darling a lot. I don't find myself using a palette on its own but pull colors from each one to achieve what I want. I have to always top off with a pop from 1 of the quads even when I use other shadows. I want to get a few of the new pink lipsticks though Very Victoria is my go to or Pillow Talk Medium.
I'm with you, Walk of Shame... 😂 My favorite quad is the original Pillow Talk. I never wore colorful eyeshadow very much, an occasional olive or emerald green. Purple, only if I'm really feeling adventurous!
I’m glad I just got into CT I love some of the lipsticks lol they are all so orange 🤣🤣🤣 … Pillow Talk medium intense super fabulous and lip liners iconic nude supersize me don’t like the new ones… those eyeshadows were mostly pretty tho omg I would have so many 🤣🤣🤣
I have Sophisticated (and use it with eyes to mesmerize oyster pearl as the shimmer on top) and Pillowtalk. Further I have two of the 12 pans (I forgot the names and to lazy to go grab them. One has a silver packaging, the other one is blue). I like the quads over the 12 pans somehow. It´s so easy to just have that four colours and put them on.
I have heard that we don’t see the 12 pound pallets anymore because people didn’t really enjoy them. I liked them a lot but I think I was in the minority
Love this!! Makes me so nostalgic, Charlotte Tilbury was the first luxury brand I became interested in back in 2016/2017 and I fully panned the Exaggereyes and Pillow Talk quads as well as some of the cream eyeshadow pots. Still have the Bella Sofia and love it! I loved her UA-cam tutorials and the easy 1-2-3-4 step-by-step explanation for using the eyeshadows, really helped me to learn when I was so new to palettes.
I only have three of her quads (Celestial Pearl, Exaggereyes, and Uptown Girl) and do enjoy them. There are other formulas I like more but I feel quite fancy using these. This was a fun video and I really appreciate the work that went into it as always.
Love these types of videos. They remind us what we have and inspire me to use again. I only have about 6 CT palettes and my faves are exaggereyes and Bella Sophia. Amazingly I have one you don’t have, Legendary Muse. I also have the original The Rebel which I have only swatched, not sure what I was thinking! Thanks for making this video, I’m sure it was a difficult one.
Thank you so very much. That is the problem with the original rebel. It’s so green that it’s not exactly super wearable. I suppose that’s why they redid it in olive
Oh gosh.. favourites.. Golden goddess (though it went Hard pan!) Fire Rose Copper Charge Star Aura Exaggerise. I only have star aura and fire rose left now. The golden goddess lasted me AGES but i had to use tape on the pop shade as it got hard pan quickly
Funny that my two favorites are the ones you’re missing. I promise I didn’t take yours! I’ve hit pan on both. My other favorite is Exaggerise. That’s what I wear when I don’t know what I want to wear. It just goes with any look. This was a lot of fun, Rebecca! And now you made me want to use Fire Rose again…a forgotten beauty!
I really wish they would bring back glamour muse since I lean towards cooler tones. Plus I like the purple shade. Also, the starlight one that they discontinued is also pretty as well.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I see your reply as I’m still watching the video. I usually make my comments and edit as I go along… lol. I see a few that were discontinued, which is a shame. It seems the discontinued ones are the ones that are of interest to me. They seem to have a little more varied color and lean a little bit cooler in tone.
Great question. Viseart much drier, which sounds bad. I do not mean it that way, of course. But they just are sheer and they layer. These are a bit "thicker" and don't need as much building.
Rock Chick, Vintage Vamp, the Original Rebel, and the new RebelI love both!)/Green Lights (ha! Wild name change), Golden Godess, Queen of Glow (a bit more than GG), PT Palette of Pops, Starlight Palette of Pops(really pretty ), Dazzling Diamonds, Celestial Eyes and Fire Rose are my favorites❤ You looked so pretty-I love Fire Rose on you! I prefer Walk of Shame! It was badass-that woman makes eye contact walking down the street😎
I really enjoyed this deep dive into Charlotte Tilbury quads, very informative and fun. I like hearing all the details going back into the past of the brand. Personally I do find it annoying that out of 30 palettes Charlotte made TWO cool toned ones!? Her quads, eyeshadow singles, lipsticks, blushes, lip liners, pillow talk line, etc. look very warm on my cool rose toned skin and I feel excluded. So no matter how good her makeup is, I stay away from most of her line.
Ambitious!!!😂😂😂😂I have only tried Magic Cream !👎 Packaging for some CT face products is meh! I like setting powder.. interested in new lip products...tried early lip pencil- so hard 😄 I thought about blushes?? Powder-but think others sre better for me!
Early products have so many hits, more than misses.. But lately it’s perhaps been the opposite of that. I am very curious about the new release coming down the pike in a day or two here
I'm a day late, but I wonder if your favorite is the same as mine? I love Fire Rose and I got incredibly lucky to get it. It was right when it was getting hard to find and another UA-camr gave us her SA from the store. When I called, there were two left! I got the next to last one!! Runner up goes to Desert Haze. Btw, loved this review. This was great!! I have about 15 of her quads and love most of them.
Can u believe i dont own 1 CT quad 😂 i have other pallets from her but not a quad. I am a cool toned lover so alot of them never called to me and i wasnt really into quads untill the past few years and now it seems to be all i buy. If she came out with a good neutral or cool quad i would be up for it and i was tempted by rocker girl and the sofisticate quad but never bothered. Thats crazy u have almost all of them and swatched them all . I do see a few maybe I would have liked but never got my hands on .
The very first quad that I bought 5 years ago was the Bella Sofia. I've used it so sparingly over the years because I don't want it to run out as they are so expensive. It really accentuates hazel eyes. I also have the palette of pops, which is pretty but is my least favorite. In my opinion, I think the original names of the palettes and lipsticks should have stayed the same. They were flirty and fun, I agree. Sadly, everything seems to have to be politically correct nowadays. Also agree that all of her lipsticks that are said to be pink shades, have always been on the orangey-peachy side. I don't know why that is. If the colors are peachy, they should just be described that way. Not sure what Charlotte's idea of pink really is.😆 I had no idea that another company owned a majority of her brand, that is interesting. The Golden Goddess palette is so pretty, sad that I missed out on that one but I can see how recycled the shades are, in so many of the palettes. I do though love her eyeshadows and love how easy they are to apply. They are classics for sure. The rose palette is gorgeous and looks beautiful on you!! Thank you for this very detailed display of your Charlotte Tilbury palette collection. Had so much fun watching!!!
I’d love fire rose but never got it😢 I hate the pillow talk ones. I just don’t find the tone is quite right for me. I love the celestial pearl and especially the cosmic pearl it’s my favourite. I do think that the one that game out for Chinese new year this year is very similar though.I loved seeing some of the older ones it was really interesting. I only got into Charlotte in 2019 really.
Hi dear Rebecca, such a nice overview, how Charlotte started after her work at Tom Ford, i reminded that part, but you know beauty history a long way back, and of each and every brand. These looks she had, and has, not original, i mean, i do not have the book here, we're in the beach house, it's in the main house, but the book "Making Faces" from the legendary Kevyn Aucoin, has quite some looks like these....But you know a lot more about Kevyin Aucoin! Do i respect her? Yes, absolutely, starting, when was it, 2013 i believe and selling, like you said, around 2020, for, what was it, almost a billion dollars, than you are super business woman, and yes, she can sell sand to the desert, Rebecca. Do i like her? I don't know. But here in The Netherlands we are very down to earth, we do not call everybody 'darling" which irritates me, i must say. I only say that to my husband and son, but that's just me. Than the names of the products. There are so many superlatives, that it's almost ridiculous. Than: does she make good eyeshadow? It depends. Her newer work is better, better formula, good eyeshadow! You're right that almost everything is more warm, she has to work on that. But quality mostly good, and also for sensitive eyes! That Fire Rose quad, like it a lot, well, not the red shade, but the rest is very beautiful! Most used: that green quad, well, the latest, the more khaki one. Her strenght: making things easy! I mean, take that khaki quad, blend like 4 year old, and you have a gorgeous eyelook in a minute, maybe 2 minutes, even me, and i'm much more slow that you, Rebecca! So yes, i love fool proof stuff, but Charlotte, if you read this, first: get that Fire Rose to the USA, and not only for us here in EU, and further Charlotte, cooler tones please in the newer formula. And Charlotte: the shimmers of your latest 9 pan hurted my eyes, but these mattes were amazing, so please make a cooler matte little palette in your newer formula, Charlotte? Those were my thoughts, Rebecca, great you all kept them, wow, i do not have the space and the patience for it to keep these all in my house. Sorry, long, but Charllotte is in the meantime a legend, Rebecca, and i can also get very tired of her. Super good video, sending you lots of love!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘
The new khaki version of The Rebel is really flattering, I admit. Strange thing with the two names for the one. Don't ever be sorry for length. I enjoy your comments SO much, Annemarie. I am glad you're at your beach house. Lovely!
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty The Rebel is beautiful! The 2 names are strange indeed. Charlotte has many interesting names. But the quad is super! I'm happy to hear that, thank you, it was quite long, but i have quite a lot to say about Charlotte, maybe, sorry for anyone here if its irritating. Yess beachhouse, small but less pollen here, beautiful spring weather, we love it here so much, 1 km behind the North Sea! We stayed, because my knee did not get any better, the tendinitis, i hope i get an MRI scan soon after an injection that did not help, but that was the reason we did not move back to the main house last autumn, and also because of our dear labradoodle puppy Kruimeltje, who had meningitis, but he's doing great now! But it's always so good to be here!!! Will post you a few photo's of Kruimeltje soon, if you like! He is now over a year (born 7th January 2023), very much there, very very present 🤣but very very sweet!!!!
Hello, isn't "Walk of shame" a homage to Game of Thrones ? :-D I don't know, I don't know what came out before the series or the "Walk of Shame Make Up", that's what comes to my mind first. But you must not forget that English is not my mother tongue and I only know this expression from the series... If that were the case, it would of course be doubly strange to change the name. Either way, I find it strange to change names for the same make-up and on the other hand to keep the name if it's not the same colors. All the best, Maria
Hey there Maria. So the walk of shame is kind of an old, perhaps American but probably British as well, sentence that refers to somebody who spends the night at another person‘s home after a night out and then has to leave in the morning wearing what they wore the night before. And everybody knows that you never went home. And everybody knows that you slept somewhere different. So the joke is that it is the walk of shame. I know that they then used it in Game of Thrones but that is not what Charlotte meant originally ha ha.
I'm one of those who doesn't love the sexualizing of makeup through names and marketing. Sex sells for sure, I just don't think it needs to be part of the makeup world too. Maybe Walk of "Shame" would've been nice? I know shade names almost never include punctuation, but that might have been cute.
Maybe you are a rebel? My dazzling diamonds won’t pick up anymore. So sad. You know how Charlotte developed Tom ford Beauty, I’d love if she did some re imagined Tom ford colour quads rather than recycling the same colours
I would LOVE if she did a range based on makeup looks of the decades. Something like that I can imagine a lovely 90s quad to go with the 90s lipsticks.
Yes. Totally agreed. I think the super nudes shadow was supposed to be 90s but it didn’t fit the bill

You are correct! I actually never thought of that before. But there’s the similarities because Charlotte is the one who developed that original wet dry formula for Tom Ford

That is the new pink called Icon Baby
Oh a walk down memory lane with Charlotte Darling. You know every time I see or think of Desert Haze I’m like that is such a great quad! She has some great classic palettes. They never go out of style.
So true! Memories and there's a lot with this brand!
Ps. While I am not a big shadow user this video was so much fun and I liked seeing the snapshot and walk down memory lane of all those CT shadows!!!😅😅😅
It really is a walk down memory lane, isn’t it? And I can kind of remember where I was and how I felt when I got those new pallets originally
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty they were SO exciting! SO LUXURIOUS! so, look you TOO can have a touch of makekup artist glam, follow the guide and shine!
I love the way she does her eye makeup. And her arm at the end lol. Maybe I’ll look into the charlotte tilbury shadows
❤️
I adore ct quads! My favorite are pillow talk and egager eyes. From limited edition I love star aura and Celestial pearl! I guess your favorite is egager eyes? 😊
I am so surprised how much love exaggereyes gets. Minus fire Rose but the ones you chose are the ones most commonly stated. People love those shades. You are in good company
I love the original rebel pallet. Wish I could find dips!
The original was so unique!
Great video thanks rebecca❤
Thank YOU for being here!
Fire Rose is definitely a must-have.
That was quite a trip down memory lane 😊💕
The lane is paved with quads!
My first one was dolce vita but out of many, the everyday friendly that I use the most is exagger eye
Exaggereyes is probably the pallet I hear most as a favorite from Charlotte
@@LisaF_ HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA Elton was TERRIFIED!!!!! hahahhahahah
She DOES seem to dislike purples. Odd!!! I agree!
I love her quads! Fire Rose is my favorite!!
Meeee tooooo!!!
Totally Fire Rose was one of the BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT palettes here in the US!
You won’t believe this, but I found the Fire Rose on Amazon in England, and I live in So Cal. It just arrived and in perfect condition. It is beautiful 🎉❤
Ooohhhhhhhh makes sense because it tended to be available in England and the rest of Europe when it was only short lived here. GOOD SCORE!!!!!
Great video! I really enjoyed it. I own 6 CT quads to include Fire Rose. My biggest regret was not getting a backup of fire rose.
I accidentally have a backup Fire Rose because mine was sent broken and they sent a replacement.
Hi Rebecca ❤️
Tonya!
I was waiting for you to mention Fire Rose! I know other YT'bers who love love love that one.
It's a GREAT one!!!
Yes, something was weird about Fire Rose. Amazing and gorgeous but almost too fragile.
I’m not sure that long swatch of all the shades was that effective but it sure was fun.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty well, they were kind of squished together but 30 quads on one arm…definitely impressive!! And I could make out the gorgeous greens in that original Rebel quad so I am equal parts happy and sad with it. 😘
Congrats again for all your hard work and extensive research on this video!!! Well deserved Rebecca!!🥰
Thank you so much. This was a super fun one
The brand has changed so much. It's a shame but it's fun to take the memory lane trip.
My girlfriends and my secrets are wrapped up in some belly laughing walk of shame moments😂😂
Of all the Charlotte Tilbury quads, I did not pick up the Fire Rose palette!! That is still one i’m bummed I missed. Why won’t she rerelease this one😩😩😩
I have long loved quads for their ease of use and Charlotte is top tier for that every day pretty vibe. I’m still die hard Chanel too, love love their quads. I enjoy TF quads but not as much as others. My new favorite is YSL! Their quads ( well i only have one) are pigmented, easy to use, and oh boy the packaging hollers luxury. I’m good with that because they are amazing! There I go again using “they” as though I have more than one😜
Thank you for putting your arm through all those swatches!!!
Trademark!
Wooooo I have been neglecting my CT quads I have so so many. I always wanted the original rebel quad
It's such a pretty green, the original. And so unique!
I love this video! She may be expensive but I just love Charlotte Tilbury products - especially the eye shadows.
She really does pretty quite well!
Great video! And I much prefer all of CB's old product names, including Walk of Shame.
Thank you so much!
My favorite is Exaggereyes, 2nd fave is Star Aura, 3rd Is Golden Goddess, but my most USED is Sophisticate. Thanks for doing this fun video! Love these!
Mine ran away! haha. I hope to find it! Sophisticate is on the move somewhere between drawers, hiding :)
I love her brand my favorite are eyeshadow and lipsticks
Agreed!
Nessie with long eyelashes and red hair. The red hair part makes sense
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty definitely ♥️
Just tuned in, yes, quite ambitios!!! Can't wait
haha. I was like, "WHAT have I gotten myself into???"
Great video, I forget how similar so many of her eyeshadow palettes are!! She also did a quad called fallen angel. It was one of her earliest ones. I loved it!
Fallen angel is the TRUE collector's item!
@@maevecox2320 How kind of you. THANK YOU!
That was fun!! Am cross that I missed Fire Rose. Still use The Sophisticate as it is goof-proof. (and cool).
I need to go on a search and rescue exhibition for my sophisticate quad.
Good Morning 🌞😃
Wow! Now that’s Mega Swatchfest! 😂
Ahh yes.
Above, there’s a comment that says they feel like they are rudderless now that they have sold and I think that’s a great way to describe it
I’m going to guess Fire Rose is your favourite as you’ve mentioned loving it many times! 🔥🌹 Don’t think it’s still available sadly! 😭
Yay! I was right! And wow, it sure is stunning. ❤✨ Gutted I never got to try it! Great video btw.
You are right on the money, Yasmin!
Wow!! Another iconic video!! 😊
I would guess the Fire Rose quad because it seems to be everyone's favorite. But never tried it & it was so hard to get!!Wonder why it was so limited??
Aww...I wore the Vintage Vamp on my wedding day 💓 it was my first CT purchase. I bought it in October 2019 at Nordstrom...you had to walk by the fancy luxe CT display to get to the designer shoe area where my hubby bought me my Manolos...gee seems so long ago 😳
I still love my Pop Shot single in Ultra Violet & been wearing it a lot lately 💜
I am always tempted. Especially by the GREENS. 💛💚🤎💖
I love her greens, too!
I loved this video!! 💖💄Yes I'm a CT fan & I have many of her quads. Before I ramble on I have to say I laughed to myself as you did all the swatches. I couldn't help but notice even though I know you tried to start with a clean slate each time, those pops sparkled on & on!!
When I take off my makeup I can see all the pop on the pad which overtakes even the color of the shadows.🤣
The Fire Rose quad was hard to get & I was mad at myself for not getting it when it first came out.
Oh yes. Those sparkles are STAYING WITH YOU no matter HOW you scrub. haha. It's SO true!
I'm with you, Walk of Shame... 😂
My favorite quad is the original Pillow Talk. I never wore colorful eyeshadow very much, an occasional olive or emerald green. Purple, only if I'm really feeling adventurous!
I have the same as you. And the original pillow talk is absolutely gorgeous.
love this video!! please do this with other brands too, TF would be so fun to see.
GREAT idea!
I just bought Exagger-Eyes.! They had a set with the pallet and dual eyeliner, so I got it.
I really wanna get the pillow talk palette someday.
That is a beautiful palette!
The liner goes really nicely with the quad. I hope you enjoy using it!
@@MsBNoodle Thank you ☺️ I wasn’t sure if I would like the liner, but the price deal got me 😅
Finalllyyy!!! I’ve been waiting on this video!! Thanks!
❤️❤️❤️
They do a eyes to mesmerise in exaggereyes its a beautiful range and i think she should run with that rather than pillow talk
TOTALLY agreed!
I’m glad I just got into CT I love some of the lipsticks lol they are all so orange 🤣🤣🤣 … Pillow Talk medium intense super fabulous and lip liners iconic nude supersize me don’t like the new ones… those eyeshadows were mostly pretty tho omg I would have so many 🤣🤣🤣
There’s such a wonderful history to this brand. For a while there they were like our little beauty community treasure.
Love this video! Hey any chance you’ll review the new Tatcha lip kissu tint in plum blossom?? 🌸
Oh heck yeah. It's on it's way to me.
I agree and I think that’s why she means so much to all of us.
I only have three of her quads (Celestial Pearl, Exaggereyes, and Uptown Girl) and do enjoy them. There are other formulas I like more but I feel quite fancy using these. This was a fun video and I really appreciate the work that went into it as always.
Thank you so much. I think I can say the same about Charlotte. There are other formulas that I enjoy more and yet hers are reliable and always pretty

Old Rebel looks like something I would have l😮iked!
Thank you for this video. I have had a lot of CT pallets over the years and the only ones I have kept are golden goddess and pillow talk.
I can’t believe that my golden goddess ran off. I really have to make a mission to find those two missing pallets
I’m with you, I prefer Walk of Shame. Own it!
Right?!
Golden goddess (though it went Hard pan!)
Fire Rose
Copper Charge
Star Aura
Exaggerise.
I only have star aura and fire rose left now. The golden goddess lasted me AGES but i had to use tape on the pop shade as it got hard pan quickly
They DO hard pan, tho, don't they? Sigh
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty yes. I've never really understood what happens when they go hard pan

Funny that my two favorites are the ones you’re missing. I promise I didn’t take yours! I’ve hit pan on both. My other favorite is Exaggerise. That’s what I wear when I don’t know what I want to wear. It just goes with any look. This was a lot of fun, Rebecca! And now you made me want to use Fire Rose again…a forgotten beauty!
hahaha. When you said those were your two favorites, I was JUST about to type back, "Wait. A. Minute..." hahahah.
Rebel Eyes...original still available?😅
Nope. Just that new olive and gold version now
Loved this, So informative 👏🏼
I appreciate that so much! Thank you
Loved this so much Rebecca , thank you matey xx

I really wish they would bring back glamour muse since I lean towards cooler tones. Plus I like the purple shade. Also, the starlight one that they discontinued is also pretty as well.
TOTALLY. I had HEARD they were going to redo it but it seems to be a rumor only.
BTW The looks beautiful on you! Good reminder of good palettes that are tried and true.
@@karennz1099 THANK YOU!
I never got into her shadows, only her lip and cheeks, but I like these quads. How do you feel that they compare to visiart quads?
Great question. Viseart much drier, which sounds bad. I do not mean it that way, of course. But they just are sheer and they layer. These are a bit "thicker" and don't need as much building.
Amazing Video 🤩
♥️❤️💕❤️♥️
Which palette has a combo of matte and "satin " for tan skin?
I actually think her warm golden palettes are PERFECT for tan skin. The Bella Sofia even!
Rock Chick, Vintage Vamp, the Original Rebel, and the new RebelI love both!)/Green Lights (ha! Wild name change), Golden Godess, Queen of Glow (a bit more than GG), PT Palette of Pops, Starlight Palette of Pops(really pretty ), Dazzling Diamonds, Celestial Eyes and Fire Rose are my favorites❤

I prefer Walk of Shame! It was badass-that woman makes eye contact walking down the street😎
RIGHT!!! Badass woman in last night's dress, holding her shoes! haha.
"Pillow Talk vacuum, Pillow talk cadillac, Pillow Talk Nessie the sea monster" 🤣🤣🤣.
Pillow Talk coffee, Pillow Talk shoes....
I am pillow talk big time fan❤️
It's so good!!
I am *still* waiting for Fire Rose to return to the US. I bet it's going to be a long wait!
Why in the world has it not yet? That is so strange, right?
I really enjoyed this deep dive into Charlotte Tilbury quads, very informative and fun. I like hearing all the details going back into the past of the brand.
Personally I do find it annoying that out of 30 palettes Charlotte made TWO cool toned ones!? Her quads, eyeshadow singles, lipsticks, blushes, lip liners, pillow talk line, etc. look very warm on my cool rose toned skin and I feel excluded. So no matter how good her makeup is, I stay away from most of her line.
Oh TOTALLY. She really CAN be a bit of a one trick pony.
Yessss. You guessed correctly!
Heather, it actually makes total sense because, as you say, you like the cooler shades and she is just not making a lot of those in a quad
Yes, haha, Charlotte had a weird form of orange/pink color blindness. haha.
A LOT of people tell me that pillow talk just doesn't work for them. You are in good company!
And Super Blue ...whaaat?😢

Hello,
isn't "Walk of shame" a homage to Game of Thrones ? :-D I don't know, I don't know what came out before the series or the "Walk of Shame Make Up", that's what comes to my mind first. But you must not forget that English is not my mother tongue and I only know this expression from the series...
If that were the case, it would of course be doubly strange to change the name. Either way, I find it strange to change names for the same make-up and on the other hand to keep the name if it's not the same colors.
All the best,
Maria
Hey there Maria. So the walk of shame is kind of an old, perhaps American but probably British as well, sentence that refers to somebody who spends the night at another person‘s home after a night out and then has to leave in the morning wearing what they wore the night before. And everybody knows that you never went home. And everybody knows that you slept somewhere different. So the joke is that it is the walk of shame. I know that they then used it in Game of Thrones but that is not what Charlotte meant originally ha ha.
Ah, ok, I've learned something again 😀
@@MariaM-nn4fp I'm not sure ANY of us need to know that. haha. Useless info is my specialty!

2 minutes in not looking at a single comment and guessing Fire Rose as your fave (it’s mine). We shall see if I’m right….
Haha! ❤️❤️
I'm one of those who doesn't love the sexualizing of makeup through names and marketing. Sex sells for sure, I just don't think it needs to be part of the makeup world too.
Maybe Walk of "Shame" would've been nice? I know shade names almost never include punctuation, but that might have been cute.
I like that. The addition of the quotation marks would’ve been a little little bit of a wink. I agree
Maybe you are a rebel?
My dazzling diamonds won’t pick up anymore. So sad.
You know how Charlotte developed Tom ford Beauty, I’d love if she did some re imagined Tom ford colour quads rather than recycling the same colours
Good point!
Hand down my favorite is Bella Sofia. I don't know what it is about it, but no other palette I own enhances my green eyes as much
It's a true classic!
I love her brand my favorite are eyeshadow and lipsticks
Agreed!
