The firefoot sea's look exciting. Your boat seems to handle very nicely. Thank you for the video.

Very handy, to have wind machines on the shore! 😂👍

Love it! Keep them coming! I can't wait to build a smaller one like the enigma or even smaller.

Nice boat, you should mount a lightweight automobile bucket seat in there!

I imagine a Paradox with more of a birdwatcher type cabin.

She is a beautiful sail boat - she must bring you a great deal of joy to sail what you have built with your own hands! I would love to hear why you picked the Paradox design, why you scaled it up bigger, and do you think it was worth it in the end? Maybe you have explained this somewhere already?

      Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the kind words :)
Why Paradox - Paradox is a small boat with features of a big boat, so she is said to be seaworthy, you can beach her, sail in shallow waters; at the same time you sit inside, you can close the hatch and be protected from weather, if you get knocked over she will turn herself back up again... And when you decide you want to build a boat for yourself, you are commonly in lack either time either money to do this. So in a way this is a compromise, and a good compromise in that.
Why stretched version - When I first discovered Paradox, there was already a discussion up about bigger version, and there was Matt's statement that it is OK to build 20% bigger version, but nobody had done that yet. So curiosity was one factor, to find out how this would work; and as a bonus I got a bit bigger boat for myself.
Was it worth - there are things to improve, some of which I have mentioned in Paradox Facebook group, and hopefully will be mentioned in future videos; it may not be the last boat I build, but there is no reason for serious regrets :)

Great vid keep it up. I found a Face in the wood work. Freeze the vid at time stamp 4:39 and you will see a face in the wooden hatch on the middle right hand side of the screen. It has a pirate theme to it. Cool stuff, keep it up I love the Paradox.

Paradox's design sails fast! Good modest speed lift the spirit, I would think, especially in light wind and in a comfortable small listing. Is ocean crossing a plan for Paradox? I think not much watertight compartment I can see. Maybe I am wrong.

Paradoxes have done some long distance cruising, and crossings from Florida to the Bahamas. 81 y.o. Sven Yrvind has dome some ocean crossing, and another time spent 78 days out on the ocean, on different, but some-what similar to Paradoxes, boats. As for Paradox, the forpeak is a watertight compartment; and you can always add empty cans and bottles to empty spaces in stowage area for increasing buoyancy.

Probably not enough capacity for the supplies required for an Atlantic crossing.

Great to see, especially how she's doing with more wind. Is that the topping lift pressing on the back of your sail at 5:38?

Thanks, it's like being there. Do you think the junk is an improvement over the sail in the plans?

      Hi Robert,
It is to me. It has not been possible to compare the performance, but surely reefing is easier and quicker.

There is a bucket in the boat. But I have never used it for this purpose, one day under way is manageable without, normally. But I had some peat with me, and I thought putting a garbage bag in the bucket, some peat in it, and add some peat after every use. I have heard this to be smell free.
