I am glad to have stumbled upon this video. At the same time I am surprised to see not even a single comment on the video. Anyway it was useful for my GRE preparation. However, I would add that I too found the Logical Passages to be quite tricky. As someone who holds teaching and research experience in English literature, I realized that the logical RCs demand a very different skill set. Honestly speaking, I am still not convinced about the nicotine question. option C still connects with the fact about mortality.
I agree that C is the right answer. I mean we are talking about nicotine and health. An information about how the participants worked on reducing the nicotine intake is irrelevant!
I looked up this video as I was struggling with logic based RC questions. It does help to some extent but you've to sort of decode what she's saying. I feel its being explained in a more difficult way than it needs to be.
In the last passage how is D the correct answer never is a strong word and it is implying that Congress did not provide the funding how can we be so sure?
the question is what is the reason behind the contradictory result (it did not happen as expected)? A) a does not make sense and do not resolve the discrepancy , it shows factual data B) it is also comparing women and men , does it solve the puzzles? C) The finding of antidepressants actually cure the problem(Mental illness) , it does not reveal the reason behind the discrepancy at all. D) According, to passage, The researcher clearly stated that "High-quality" of Outpatient care would benefit, and according to it, Congress passed a Law to get good result, But at the end , it did not happen. there could be the two reason (1st.) Research was wrong or (2nd.) The "Quality of the care" was not good. So, Here nothing is stated in the option which says that there was a flaw in research. So, We can doubt on (2nd) reason. Now, There could be the two reason behind It, either dedicated fund was not utilized properly or,....Congress did not allocated enough fund to provide good quality treatment. .....which option says....that is why it is answer. E)..again it represents data of "blahblahblah", and for a moment consider it as answer, but does it solve the puzzle?..... that is why D is the answer...

Exactly.I chose C....First I was kind of between A and C but C seemed to be more correct.

She offers a lot of valuable information she just takes a long time to get there.

GRE logic-based RC is so hard
It can be a challenge, but we believe in you!
In the last passage how is D the correct answer never is a strong word and it is implying that Congress did not provide the funding how can we be so sure?
because she knows the answer already ....

Again , Logic based reasoning has no logic behind it. It is absurdity of GRE....
the question is "if true" so if you understand the question you will agree with D...cheers
