Wow that looks incredible . Ive filmed a version of your recipe for my channel (didn't think it was called forestier) but never thought about adding taragon. I'll test that one out
Hi! 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Anytime you’re confused about the metric equivalent, just google: Celsius to Fahrenheit or inches to centimetres, metres to feet, or grams to ounces, for example. An online calculator pops up and you just type in the amount that you know as in this case the 190 Celsius=374 Fahrenheit but it’s good at 375 Fahrenheit most ovens still have a dial instead of a digital thermostat and one degree doesn’t make a difference. Cheers! From Canada! 🇨🇦 ❤😊
@@Mathijs1974 But the video does not tell that. One has to read the recipe. I wondered the same thing myself. It sounds as if the chicken just rests in the oven to keep it a bit warm.
Can’t really see the point of frying the chicken pieces first - would be just as easy to put a bit of oil on the skin and roast them on the oven tray whilst you’re making the sauce. Looks lovely though.
you could roast in the oven while doing the sauce. I fry the chicken pieces first for two reasons 1. It helps to crisp the skin 2. It helps to layer the chicken flavour into the sauce, creating a greater depth of flavour. Traditional recipes call for an initial fry, then to put the chicken into the sauce cover and cook for about half an hour. I don't like soggy chicken skin though so I prefer to fry then bake. By all means do what make sense to you though! That's the beauty about recipes they change and adjust as different people cook them! Thanks for following xx
The sticky buts on the bottom of the pan are called fond, the pan gets deglazed by liquid and it makes a huge difference to a sauce. It doesn't work with a non stick pan
Just google chicken forstiere. The recipes will come up. It's basically just chicken thighs in a wild mushroom cream sauce, a little bit of thyme, garlic brandy it's a very, very simple recipe.
Agreed. For example, the video doesn't mention preheating the oven, something any experienced cook would expect. With the ingredients and instructions listed in the notes, the video is useless.
I've never heard of this dish until now. It looks sensational.
Nice job
I subscribed because I love the way you show the video. No talking, easy music, very relaxed 😊👌
And the recipe in the description box 🫶
Thanks for the lovely feedback and subscribing!

That looks really good. I'll have to give it a go sometime soon.
Like the look of that. Surprised, pleasantly, by the brandy.
Looks like an amazing recipe. Thank you
One of my favorite dishes! Time to make it again ❤
This looks great can't wait to make it 😊
great recipe, it torpedoes my diet.
I would only differ in one way and that would be to brine the chicken overnight.
Thanks for sharing ❤
A unique recipe! Will try it soon, thank you. Best wishes from a new subscriber ❤Stay connected!
Very nice
Nice 👍🏾
butter in pan and season IT instead of the skins on the chicken- more even distribution. signed- a REAL chef

Can anybody tell me how hot the oven should be?

@ Thank you. I guess I missed the temperature indication in the video clip altogether.
@@democlips1 You did not miss it, it was not there.
Minus 32 divide by 9 multiply by 5 for F to C
@ ah, that makes sense 😜
Looks like chicken chasseur
Does anyone in these cooking videos just use a salt shaker?
Music is very distracting. A narration would be more on point.
There’s two diff sorts of videos. this is for those who just want to watch without the narration. Enjoy your life
waaaaaay too much butter for my diet, but then i am not french
You brown the chicken, make the sauce, and then everything is ready. The chicken must be raw inside. I would cook that for 30 after browning.
It’s in the oven for 20 minutes

Browning the chicken and creating the fond and reddening the fat from the skin is basic cooking.. you must not cook..
It’s a really basic part of cooking. You should look into it.
Needs a little acid? Cider vinegar? 2:58
Seems nice but not much of a recipe, another self serving food is video with no directions. Adios, not interested.

The recipe is in the description. The techniques are in the video. What else could you possibly need?
@@Steve-s7s2yit literally states that exactly in the description! there is a recipe, it's all there.
