Rick, I just wanted you to know I've seen all your videos, and enjoyed them immensely. Thanks very much and I look forward to watching more about your status, where you are and what you are doing. Thanks again.
Beautiful boat. we went on a 55 in dana point this year and it was exquisite, but the 60 looks even better. The people at Nordhavn are the nicest folks you would ever want to meet. I'm getting more motivated now than ever! thanks for sharing your videos.
They have always been nice. I recall seeing a Nordhavn at the Long Beach Boat show way back in the mid 80s. I was a little girl back then & I was asking all kinds of questions & the guy there was very patient. I was 12 or 13, obviously not a buyer, but they let me check everything out & they patiently answered all my questions. lol Thinking back on that, they probably thought it was cute a young girl was so interested. Anyways, I have wanted a Nordhavn since then. I knew quality when I saw it. lol Still trying to get one.
She's beautiful. Congratulations! I'll never be in a position to own one but Nordhavns really set the standard. Very cool to see one with an Australian owner. Would love to see her when she's on the east coast some time! Safe travels.
I think most Nordhavn owners are into quality & function over flashing their wealth. It''s the down to earth people that choose function & quality over something that's flashy at the dock so I would expect Nordhavn owners to be great people.
I met a close cousin of the Last Samurai, "Daybreak" last week, another 60 that I assume you know about? Probably the first private passage maker of the season and my first good look at a Nordhavn . Great boat and gracious owners. Now I am really hooked and am even more interested to see yours. Still up to a tour?
Congratulations. There is just one thing - it is not possible to muster all the millions this boat will cost and have the spare millions to get it going with service and fuel cost, where I live: In Scandinavia. No-one (not criminal) can buy a thing like this here, as no-one can work to get rich in this part of the world. However, I wish you all the best.
The heck with the boat... I want to know what this guy does for a living... how he made his money and how much he makes a year to afford something like this...
No kidding, the fuel costs for cruising for five years are going to be more than the boat. I also wonder where Nordhavn used to build their boats before they went to China. Also it seems like this boat is fiberglass?
***** They were all built in the US before they starting outsourcing the building to china. Some are still built at the US shipyard and some are built in china. I'm not sure which ones are built where, except that the 120 they built was definitely made in china.
Tin Nguyen. Hand crafting in the states is pretty much a lost art. The Chinese do a great deal of"working with the hands". I too thought "made in China" meant cheap until I did a little more research. That's my opinion.
Stay very very very close to shore Rick and don't go out at night or when it's foggy or going to rain. Just keep the boat at the dock were it's safe...

Nordhavn build boats with such beautiful lines. Understated, practical, reliable and trustworthy.... not that I own one..... But I would like to !

Hi Don
I'll be in Ketchikan early June so keep an eye out.
Enjoy your beautiful boat in good Heath hope for calm seas and blue sky's .
How long did it take for you to take possession. It's a beautiful boat and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
It's been 5 years since you have been on this voyage...did you make it home?
Fantastic
The N60 is much better proportioned than the 55

Lucky guy.
Did they make it to Australia?
Do you still own the boat?
How long from Order to delivery does it take?
how is the after-sale service ?

He's wealthy because the people that work for him only make $5 an hour. That's how people get rich, they have legalized slave workers.

TJ Day Well, it's very nice of him to hire unskilled workers.
Leggo My Ego I'd like to know who or what this US boat yard that builds Nordhavns
your not showing off are you.
Jealousy rears its ugly head !!
How the @&$@ do you afford that shit!!? Don't you have to work for your massa like me for pennies a day?!
Why made in China? When see something that's made in China I think of cheap, unreliable and copycat.
Asia, China have extremely good craftsmen! They may have some of the best wood workers for sure! For most their job is their life!
