Jack Flarherty would be a good back up plan signing if the Dodgers miss out on Roki Susaki.

I tend to make the joke that fans on both teams get nervous when Joe Kelly steps onto the mound. It's true though; he does have some of the nastiest pitches out there, but yeah... Joe Kelly is Joe Kelly. I like calling him Wild Thing.

All of us who had the privilege of watching the Bleacher Report post W.S. party at Mookie's home know that he lives in the hills of Encino. And that is right on the edge of the Palisades fire. Is there any news about how he is faring? Has he had to evacuate? Etc.

They also are allowed to convert the competitive balance pick that they got from the Reds into international bonus pool money. So that would add 2.5 million more to the 5.1 million they have available Roki. Making it 7.6 total they can offer him. But if they do that then they lose the number 37 pick

Do you have a source for that ability to convert a compensation pick to international bonus pool money? I've never heard of that, and it's not mentioned anywhere in the CBA where all the rest of that is laid out.

I dont think this means they're confident in signing roki, it just means they're trying to give more reasons for him to come. On the flip side, u could even say dodgers ARENT confident so they're trying to get as much money to increase the chance
