- Sean O'malley reacted in an ignorant fashion to something that’s an integral part of Islam without even bothering to ask or try to understand, but to be fair to Sean O’malley it’s not something you see every day in western countries and he probably thought it was just something that Umar Nurmagomedov did.
I got nothing against UFC fighter Sean O’malley but I gotta say it, instead of asking Umar Nurmagomedov or other Muslims about it his first impression was that it’s weird, what’s so weird about cleaning yourself 5 times a day before performing obligatory prayers? Prayers that even Non-Muslims like Joe Rogan see the great benefit in performing and it will probably be one of the main reasons Umar Nurmagomedov will beat the ish out of you respectfully.

@@ahnafabdullah5307 that’s exactly what I was referring to he said in Islam hygiene is important unlike in many cultures in the past and because of this Muslim populations had fewer diseases. And that’s why some people in the past thought that this has to do with witchcraft and curses.
It was a culture shock for Sean. Leave him alone. I feel he meant no harm about his comments when he is also acknowledging Umar's skills

Sean comes across as really "dumb" and dull. he doesnt know things you learn in high school. He went into the ring and said to Sterling "i didnt see anything" in sterlings fighting skills that beat henry cejudo,.. lol. This dumb hyped up fool and one dimensional fighter that doesnt deserve his ranking or fighting for a championship. He got the Dana white priveledge more than anyone. Nurmagomedov will submit him in 1 round when they likely meet next year either as contenders of for title.

We wash ourselfs at home in the shower here.. so yes it’s very abnormal to see a grown man cleaning himself like that in a public restroom where people wash there hands and face. My first reaction would think the poor guy is homeless
That reaction is completely normal from a non-muslim. Definitely no need to flame him. It does appear weird to see someone cleaning their feet on top of a sink from their perspective. He wasn't trying to be negative at all and its quite clear. The weird part isn't cleaning yourself, its the fact that you are cleaning your feet on top of a sink in a really awkward position. His reaction wasn't even about the cleansing itself.
This is taking his reaction of the top and really just trying to stir drama in my opinion. He wasn't offensive in the least.
There's a lot that non-Muslims don't know about Islam and the washing for prayer (wudhoo) is one of them. But I understand how Sean would be weirded out, especially If you were to walk into the bathroom with someone making wudhoo and thinking to themself "Why is he washing his feet in the sink?" I don't think he (Sean) meant it in a disrespectful manner, he just didn't understand what was going on.

Not only just daily we muslim did it at least 5 times, that's why me as woman don't like to wear make up, especially th expensive 12hrs waterproof one, bcs what for I wear make up if it's gonna be cleansed by wudhu anyway.

He doesn’t understand religion but he is not one to hate or disrespect. He is one of the better people and one of the better professionals in this sport.

Usman is a potential opponent of Sean, the way he talked about him washing his feet had nothing to do with being disrespectful towards Islam. He didn’t even knew he was washing his feet to pray so we need to calm down.
I’m the one who commented on this initially and if you watch the video of sean he was definitely saying it in almost a condescending way like Umar was weird or something.
