Surprised you chose the Harwich ferry and didn't save yourself a mint going down to Kent for Folkestone tunnel /Dover ferries. The ride from Calais is not far to Hook of Holland. Much much cheaper and quicker when you factor in the long overnight ferry. Dover is a 2.5 hour ride from Harwich 😮 I think you can ride to Holland in about 2 hours from Calais. The gap between Hawich and Holland is very wide compared to 21 mile distance of channel tunnel. The Honda CB500X will be a perfect mount for the task in hand. Edit - BMW 😮 What was I thinking.
yes it is a bit more expensive, just didn't fancy the extra slog up from France. I will be doing about 360 miles from hook of Holland to top of Germany on that day. just fancied seeing what an overnight ferry would be like.
Hi not sure on this one to be honest, my exhaust not really that loud, so I never gave it a thought. Only saw one copper on the way out of Kristiansand 👍
Avoid circumnavigating Hamburg like the plague. Take the ferry across the River Elbe west of Hamburg. It will be the best 5€ you ever spent. Have a great trip🤠
The uk health card doesn’t give you the same cover as the UK. It brings down the cost in some countries, some stuff is free, but it isn’t valid in countries like Norway and such. Always make sure you have travel insurance or you could end up with a big medical bill.
Welcome back, Was wondering what had happened to you. Well done on shifting some weight. It's gotta to be good for being comfortable on and riding your bike. You might try intermittent fasting which many people now do eg RichyVida. You eat say in a 6 hour window but fast the other 18 hours just have plain tea, coffee or water. it cleanses your body as your body get rid of all the toxins and old cells and tissues. I tend to eat in a window 5pm - 8pm but low carb no sugar. I do resistance training as well - stretching a bit of weights. It keeps me slim and strong. Means I can ride my bike for longer all day comfort. Very few aches and pains. Cut out all he processed crap foods if you are eating any pies, pizzas, bread, breakfast cereals, oats grains and eat proper food meat eggs oily fish sardines mackerel lots of leafy greens broccoli brussel sprouts, salads, avocados, tomatoes, beetroot, pumpkin seeds. If you are going to eat carbs then new potatoes. Stay away from sugary fruit as well like bananas, pineapples, mangoes. Berries are ok, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. You want to keep your blood sugar levels at moderate levels, not have huge spikes caused by eating sugar and carbs. Anyway way less of the diet stuff. Did you know there is now a ferry from Eemshaven in Holland to Kristiansand in Norway? Saves riding up through Germany and Denmark. Norway is stunning. Be sure to pack your wet weather gear. Have a great trip.
That looks like one awesome tour! Have a safe trip! Looking forward to see the videos of this one!

@@stevebutler7156 Thanks for reply. Looking forward to see your progress 😊
Great video really enjoyed it and the port is pronounced HARICH the W is silent as far as I know 😂
Good to know!
Great video! What are the laws for aftermarket exhausts in Norway? Do motorcyclists get pulled over a lot in Norway?
Hi not sure on this one to be honest, my exhaust not really that loud, so I never gave it a thought. Only saw one copper on the way out of Kristiansand 👍
Avoid circumnavigating Hamburg like the plague. Take the ferry across the River Elbe west of Hamburg. It will be the best 5€ you ever spent. Have a great trip🤠
This! Take the ferry from Wischhafen to Glückstadt. Saves a little over 100km and takes only about 25 minutes.
Hi Steve, you may want to change the GB to a UK sticker on your number plate. So petty but some board traffic cop might have a go
Thanks for the tip Irish.
Don’t ride through the middle of Hamburg.Instead there is a small car ferry further west crossing the river Elbe.Quicker and better route.
Give it socks brother
What's your mileage on your bike, and how many miles is your trip,? Cheers
Hi Dermot it’s done 5500 miles before I left the other, on return add about another 2000 ish to it 👍
@@stevebutler7156 keep safe bud god bless
@@dermotleeson5290 Thankyou I’m just sailing across to Norway 🇳🇴 as I type 😎👍
The uk health card doesn’t give you the same cover as the UK. It brings down the cost in some countries, some stuff is free, but it isn’t valid in countries like Norway and such. Always make sure you have travel insurance or you could end up with a big medical bill.
Yep all prepared 👍
Have a great trip steve
Safe riding
Thanks Patrick
BEWARE OF THE RAIN...
been looking at the long range weather forecast seems I'm going to be lucky, but if not got the gear.
I agree, you seem to have picked the perfect week weatherwise 👍
Sounds fucking amazing. I want to do my bike test.. I want a triumph tiger 😊
brrr..
Thanks for all the info very much appreciated 👍
