Why is slower turning something that should be encouraged for beginners ? They are going to be turning slow to begin with cause they don't know what they are doing and if you're breaking your Rubik's cube out of frustration then you shouldn't be touching a Rubik's cube. J Perm once brought up that Rubik's brand doesn't really corner twist or pop. For non-speedcubers who wouldn't know how to fix those issues in a way that keeps the cube solvable, it's more important cube design makes these things impossible than it is important for cubes to be fast.
The OG Rubik's Cube was set up to be basically "temperamental child" proof. Like you demonstrated, you can throw it at a wall and the wall will lose that battle - but it's also super unlikely to pop or corner-twist during normal use. Non-cubers often consider a cube "broken" if it's popped or corner-twisted - I remember having to rescue an expensive speedcube from the trash can because my cousin corner-twisted it. That comes at the expense of having almost no corner-cutting ability and having a lot of friction making it hard to turn., but then again it's not meant to be their Speedcube (the Rubik's brand speedcube is still kinda terrible though, but for different reasons).
Not that resistant. Mine once fell and broke. Couldn't be fixed, the center broke from its core. I glued it with superglue, but once in a while it breaks again. It's just a collection item now, though.
Id also argue that the cube making you align better to go faster makes you better but idk I just solved my first cube last night and now youtube thinks Im part of this community
Yes, BUT you can use a speed cube like a puzzle + it turns better + a $7 is smoother than the $18 RUBIK's cube. So at this point, Rubik's should up their game
Well, I use my speedcube casually as a puzzle. I'm not really speedcubing at all. It just pleasant to touch, have a nice weight, easy to turn, never catches.
I think its also built the way it is to prevent the cube from popping and corner twists. You have to keep in mind its the OG cube meant for people that don't understand the puzzle and if anything like that were to happen then the puzzle is therefore "broken" to them

The Rubik's Cube is a 3-D combination puzzle originally invented in 1974[2][3] by Hungarian sculptor and professor of architecture Ernő Rubik. Originally called the Magic Cube,[4] the puzzle was licensed by Rubik to be sold by Pentangle Puzzles in the UK in 1978,[5] and then by Ideal Toy Corp in 1980[6] via businessman Tibor Laczi and Seven Towns founder Tom Kremer.[7] The cube was released internationally in 1980 and became one of the most recognized icons in popular culture. It won the 1980 German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide,[8][9][needs update] making it the world's bestselling puzzle game[10][11] and bestselling toy.[12]
You have to know that the Rubik's cube is not meant for speed cubing. It's meant as a teaching tool for engineering students. The focus is supposed to be on understanding how the tiles interact with each other. It's a metaphor for basically all things we make and do.
The Rubik's Cube got it's name from the creator of the puzzle - Ernő Rubik. Also, the Rubik's brand has collaborated with Gan for at least 5 years. Each competitor at WCA World Championship 2017 in Paris received a Rubik's speedcube - a Rubik's branded version of Gan 357.

My dad came for a visit last summer from out of state and I told him to scramble it up for me. He said something along the lines of 'okay, but you're just going to try but not be able to solve it and feel like a fool'...and I'm all like, 'oh no...I've got this.'. And yeah. I had it! lol, I had no problems solving it for him and he was SO impressed and proud of me! He passed away of a heart attack several days later after he had traveled back home...and now I cherish that memory with him.
4:08 And the Reason a Normal cube is not as Strong as the normal one is bc the Normal cube is lose and fast and is also turned faster while the rubik brand is hard
One massive problem with magnets is with children. Let’s say they made the basic Rubik’s cube was made to be a great speed cube but marketed the same. A child may break it apart and swallow a few pieces. When you swallow two magnets there is a chance in then sticking together and latching organs together or pinch them. A child’s toy needs to be very robust and make it hard for a child to accidentally do something stupid.
Dude, like 7 months ago, I went into my local Walmart and found a 3x3 for, you wont believe it: 4 USD, and it was nice. Comparable to my $80 main cube. I never thought an actual good cube that would last me this long would only be 4 bucks.
Hey people It takes the average person about three hours to solve a Rubik's cube for the first time, but it can take a speedcuber only seven seconds. As the name implies, speedcubing is a sport in which participants solve, most commonly, the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube as quickly as possible

I've gotten interested in Rubik's cubes recently and asked my mom for an "off-brand" one I found online (apparently good company, and only about $5 USD.) I can't wait to see how it turns when it arrives.
How was it?
Yes, has it still arrived how is it?

Hi, didn't get a notif for any of these replies until the most recent one. It's alright. Not very good at it, but it works pretty well.

0:11 how do you ride a bike with 0 hands?
@@allcaps1182 Practice in an area with open room, keeping your hands hovered above / around the handlebars. Once you get confident with turning and riding and all of that, you can remove your hands from that area of the bike entirely. Just be safe and whatnot.
Also don’t lean forward keep your back straight or you will fall

I got my official Rubik's for about $3.50 on Amazon years ago, and I've loved having it! After some youtube videos I finally memorized how to solve it! I keep it on my nightstand and solve it several times a week just so I don't forget lol. I'm not fast...my fastest time was 1 minute 14 seconds, but I'm just happy to be able to solve it at all.
He passed away of a heart attack several days later after he had traveled back home...and now I cherish that memory with him.
rip. my fastest time is 46 seconds
@@hyperjanny1510 That's awesome! Anything under 1 minute is impressive and you're SO close to a 45! Nice job :D

I love rubiks, but their cubes do turn bad. But they are strong
What if you turn your fuckin Rubik’s brand cube into a speed cube Y begging phil

4:08 And the Reason a Normal cube is not as Strong as the normal one is bc the Normal cube is lose and fast and is also turned faster while the rubik brand is hard
Bruh I literally spent RM200 on a friggin Bluetooth cube :/
One massive problem with magnets is with children. Let’s say they made the basic Rubik’s cube was made to be a great speed cube but marketed the same. A child may break it apart and swallow a few pieces. When you swallow two magnets there is a chance in then sticking together and latching organs together or pinch them.
A child’s toy needs to be very robust and make it hard for a child to accidentally do something stupid.

this guy is soo funny and spends soo much time on these videos, keep up the hard work! :)

rubik's=nokia , the rubik's cube=nokia 3310
Dude, like 7 months ago, I went into my local Walmart and found a 3x3 for, you wont believe it: 4 USD, and it was nice. Comparable to my $80 main cube. I never thought an actual good cube that would last me this long would only be 4 bucks.
i wish i could solve one
"ITS green. Which makes me able to turn it way faster" LOLOL
0:23
😂😂😂 YO CUBEHEAD
#EMOTIONALDAMAGE, lmao
But why😂
Hey people It takes the average person about three hours to solve a Rubik's cube for the first time, but it can take a speedcuber only seven seconds. As the name implies, speedcubing is a sport in which participants solve, most commonly, the 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube as quickly as possible
This is from Netflix the speed cubers
