A beautiful recitation of Surah Al Kahf by Sheikh Salah Al Budair, the Imam of Madina.
Hadith on the virtues of Surah Al Kahf:
Hadith 1:
Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that: “Whoever reads Surah Al Kahf on the night of Jummah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).” (Recorded by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471) .
Hadith 2:
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat Al Kahf on the day of Jummah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”
Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad in which there was nothing wrong.

The True Quranic Conception of Paradise
This life lasts for a few decades and is designed as both a lesson and a test. Paradise lasts forever and is designed to exalt the faithful to God through His eternal grace and infinite glory.
32:17 No human being can imagine what blissful delights, as yet hidden, await them [in the life to come] as a reward for all that they did.
The impossibility of ever really imagining paradise was summed up by the Prophet in the well-authenticated hadith: "God says: 'I have readied for My righteous servants what no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard, and no heart of man has ever conceived."' The hidden nature of eternal bliss may, however, be glimpsed through certain allegorical phenomena.
55:46 BUT FOR THOSE who of their Sustainer's Presence stand in fear, two gardens [of paradise are readied] - (47) which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? - (48) [two gardens] of many wondrous hues.
Reality consists of both a physical and spiritual dimension. The external world is experienced by the conscious mind through the physical senses while the internal world is experienced by the unconscious heart through spiritual intuition (the sixth sense). In the heavenly realm both worlds combine and night becomes day when the sanctified heart fully awakens to God's grace and is encompassed by a mind shining with God's glory with death (and its shadow sleep) forever cast away.
55:50 In [each of] these two [gardens] two springs will flow. (51) Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow?
The "two springs" of paradise symbolize the two sources or streams of perception accessible to human awareness: the one that descends from glory and is reflected in the mind through the senses; and the one that rises from grace and is reflected in the heart through intuition. In the gardens of paradise the contemplative mind reaches out for God's glory through ever-higher comprehension in an ever-greater state of ecstatic wonder while the heart strives for God's grace through ever-deepening insight in an ever-greater state of rapturous bliss and eternal human consciousness grows.
55:62 And besides those two will be yet two [other] gardens - (63) which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? - (64) two [gardens] of the deepest green.
Comprehension rises and insight deepens in ever-more perfect, ever-more beautiful gardens of wondrous colour amazingly arrayed and awesomely adorned while, at the heart of it all, remain the ever-familiar, evergreen gardens of earthly paradise where the soul of the believer, as the rightful sovereign owner, can rest in peace.... A far green country encircled by golden shores beside the sea where flowering gardens of gracious palatial glory blossom after the rain and shine under the rainbow of an endless blessed Day while, beyond the glittering ocean, new worlds beckon forever.
39:74 And they will exclaim: "All praise is due to God, who has made His promise to us come true, and has bestowed upon us this expanse [of bliss] as our portion, so that we may dwell in paradise as we please!"
39:75 And how excellent a reward will it be for those who laboured [in God's way]!
Consciousness - experienced through ever-widening sense perceptions - grows like a rising ocean as profound sensations accumulate and old shorelines retreat beneath the waves of ever-higher awareness elevating the faithful from the physical plane, through the twilight, into the supernatural realm of elemental beings and, as celestial luminaries, they begin to enter ever-greater kingdoms of light.
83:25 They will be given a drink of pure wine whereon the seal [of God] will have been set, (26) pouring forth with a fragrance of musk.
Human awareness eventually encompasses the highest angelic kingdom and, at the edge of creation, the righteous are given the holy food and wine of the Presence stimulating mental and intensifying emotional awareness: expanding human consciousness beyond the confines of light.
83:22 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous will indeed be in bliss: (23) [resting] on couches, they will look up [to God]: (24) upon their faces thou wilt see the brightness of bliss.
Resting by the river, in the gardens of shaded Peace, human beings so ethereal that their souls shimmer through shining limbs begin to fulfil their ultimate destiny as they eat the sacred fruits of divine comprehension and drink the blessed wine of divine understanding transcending the mirror world to witness, time after time, the endless manifestation of God's eternal Grace and infinite shining Glory!
39:75 And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the throne of [God's] almightiness, extolling their Sustainer's glory and praise. And judgment will have been passed in justice on all [who had lived and died], and the word will be spoken: "All praise is due to God, the Sustainer of all the worlds!"
Fear drives like thunder but Love exalts at the speed of light.
