wow unbelievable how easy it is to understand this topic from your explanation. One of those things that you can spend hours to search in google and you have to put all pieces together before you understand. In 10 minutes I get it ! beautifully done
Excellent, as usual.... One objection: AT the figure @3:10, CPU is drawn as the head of the PCI tree. AFAIK this is not correct, as the cpu does not have PCI pins. Cpu connects to MCH, and IOCH, and these have PCI pins..
My build of lspci doesn't list human-readable device descriptions. I cloned the repo like in the video. Maybe a recent commit broke things. I get the same result on both my old Lenovo laptop and my new Ryzen desktop. Instead of device names, I get output similar to passing the -n flag.
Maybe you are missing a library for the VID/DID lookup. When you run make, what does configure output? Are all these libraries enabled like on my build? cd lib && ./configure Configuring libpci for your system... x86_64--linux 6.1.1-arch1-1 x86_64 linux Looking for access methods... sysfs proc mem-ports i386-ports dump Checking for zlib support... yes (auto-detected) Checking for DNS support... yes (auto-detected) Checking for libkmod... yes (auto-detected) Checking for udev hwdb support... yes (auto-detected)
You are welcome. In my last three videos I have used a new microphone, so I hope the sound is better now. What do you mean with "screen can be more clear". Do you mean the camera quality of the stuff I was doing on a paper or another setting?

Excellent , thank you!
after git clone, when I run make, build fails with /bin/sh: 1: ./configure: not found. any idea? Issue is with cd lib && ./configure. How to fix this.
