ZERO HOUR: Members raise MLA blackmailing companies, shortage of teachers issue

Fatorda MLA VijaiSardesai raised the issue of a BJP MLA Sankalp Amonkar threatening companies at the Mormugao Port Authority and affecting the functioning of MPA. He also said that Birla had shifted operations to Maharashtra due to such blackmailing. MLA Venzy Viegas raised the issue of shortage of teachers in schools and exploitation of contractual teachers. St Cruz MLA Rodolfo Fernandes said govt should conduct inspection of scrapyards and ban such scrapyards in residential areas in view of the Chlorine gas leakage, wherein many people were affect in St Cruz.
