- There is normally always something going on at the malls on the weekends. This weekend we went to Trinoma Mall and Sarah Geronimo was there. She had a lot of fans that came to see her and after wards tons of people were in line getting autographs.
I leave absent to my school just to get here. i love Sarah G 😘😘

I doubt that they belong to the middle class with that definition.
Nevertheless, rags-to-riches doesn't necessarily mean one has to be extremely impoverished at the start, like one doesn't have to be extremely wealthy at the end. It's an idiomatic expression denoting climbing up the ladder of material wealth.
