You can fix that problem by changing the angle of the guide rod. Loosen the two Allen screws on the block that the guide rod attaches to the primer feeder tube. Turn the block counter clockwise slightly and tighten the Allen screws. That will change the angle of the guide rod where you won’t need the rubber band.
Okay the silver thing the rod goes in has that lip take the top of primer load and un screw that silver piece the rod goes in flip it around so that lip is on the other side boom all fixed works perfectly for me

I placed a square piece of eraser on the top end. Fixed it for me
I installed the spring resolved the issues…..
