Around 25 years ago I bought a smaller cast. When taken out of the bonded storage and went to bottling and when they checked it some 6 weeks later two thirds had gone. Greedy angels. As there was a delay between delivery and checking the bonded storage said it was fine when it left them. The photos showed a dried up mark from the bung so appears to have leaked in storage.
