I have this same situation with Jumbo but i lost 500k
this tank is French version M18 with revolver cannon .People who can play M18 well would love this thing.
Yet it is nearly 3 times the size , which may be a little problem for the m18 ppls who are used to smaller profile
also this thing is impossible to play in realistic due to losing most of your sl
French tanks in war thunder say they can go fast but they dont have enough tworqe to accelerate to a 8th of the "top speed" like play low rank with french tanks and armord cars there so slow

M18 is garbage honestly, very slow gun adjustment, you will spend most of the time adjusting your aim after moving because of how much it sways, where this one at least is more stable on road and faster to aim after stopping, basically better suspension.

When I played the E100 a few years ago the repair cost was at 31k. Most matches I got 10+ kills with it and still lost money after getting destroyed.

@Adrian repair cost is based on how well a vehicle performs, it is adjusted by an algorithm.
Only the top tier players managed to get the E100, so it's stats are generally very good.

Nah, that title still belongs to Tu-4. Especially after they nerfed the rewards, which by the logic expressed in the little clip here should also bring down the repair cost, but it was increased instead. _To almost double._ It also was brought down to 7.7... for about a week, after which it became the premium quality US/France/Japan/Sweden 9.0 grind supplement again.

Why have BR in the game then? Why have SL/RP Multipliers on the game then?
It's almost as if the different developers of the game work in a bubble, not knowing what the other devs are doing.
Having a Battle Rating system to decide the MM Bracket for the vehicle, only to have the Battle Ratings not correspond to the power of the vehicle defeats the whole purpose of the system itself.
Also having variable repair costs on vehicle defeats the purpose of variable SL/RP rewards, and vice versa the variable SL/RP rewards defeat the purpose of the repair costs.
Vehicles should have a BR matching the vehicle's power, and be matched with vehicles of similar power. Repair costs should be removed and instead have the SL/RP multipliers be the reward factor of vehicles.
I don't think gaining SL/RP should be the "Reward" player gets from playing the game. I think having interesting and fair vehicle-matchups brings fun to the game.
IF I enjoy the match, I will keep playing, regardless if I get SL/RP or not. That's why majority of my most played vehicles are of tiers 2 to 3. They don't give me research on end-game vehicles, but are enjoyable to play, and that's what matters.

Interesting idea. Let's look at some vehicles that just destroy it. Where should the He-100 be? It clubs, but only because its 7.9s still DO damage, upteired it would be destroyed. The 76 Jumbo - its armour is useless and its gun is "OK", at 5.7 it was barely usable, but lower the BR and it gets close to its brother. Heavy tanks especially need to be at a BR where they can be... Heavy tanks. The KV-1B is OP at 4.0, but putting it any higher means it will be clubbed every match. You all look at one part without taking in the whole picture. The game IS broken, but that doesn't mean the Devs don't care, just that they haven't figured out how to fix it.

The Lorraine 40t is so expensive now, that many casuals turn away from it, because they simply loose money while playing this tank. This mean, the ones actually playing the Lorraine 40t are mostly skilled players who can afford to play this tank, thus further raisng this vehicles statistics compared to others and now the automated system by Gaijin will think it is, once again, overperforming, so the repair cost is beeing raised again and this repeats itself till this tank will literally be unplayable!
Honestly, I think repair cost can easily stay in the game, so no one who actually cares about his ingame wallet will throw away their tanks, but it should never ever, not even for the best tanks in the game (and planes aswell) be so expensive that with an average run in said vehicle (1-2 kills, 1 cap) you'll loose money!
If you want to know why some cost more then look at ones that don't. Entire Russian tree costs less that 5k besides 1 10.3 vehicle, therefor, its because its not in Russian tree. Case solved.

@@earthyring4393 The IS-4 have a gun that can mostly pen turret rings and other weak spots only, have a slow reload and the armor can be easily penetrated at 7.7, specially by HEATFS, APDS or simply shooting on a weak spot. The repair is currently almost 10k. It's hard to make kills with that, because of the reload time, bad mobility and the penetration will have problems with any tank that have considerable armor. It's just another example on how gaijin "fixed" a "good" tank by making it unplayable.
I just noticed my 7.0 British tank has 4x the repair cost of top tier Russia.
i think Gaijin need to change how to handle repair costs. It should not be as a balancing measure, as that is what BR is. Instead, i think that repair costs should be based on how often a vehicle is played. If vehicle that are played less often are cheaper to play, it would encourage players to play them, and add more variety to the matchmaker, as well as give Gaijin more data on said vehicles so they can better balance them.
That is a fucking great idea.
And if a tank repair cost is low, then people will play it more, so it will get higher in the next update so they’ll play it less, and every season, plus having new vehicles, every thing would be very different, and strategy would more often change !
That isn't any better honestly, just shifts the crappy costs to something else, repair costs should be high enough that if you have a bad match, you will lose money, but if play well you will earn will. The amount you have to kill/capture to offset being killed in this thing is beyond simply playing well, same with many other tanks.
What if the vehicle is eventually played enough that the devs have to be constantly changing the prices of the vehicles?

i always scoffed at tank players complaining about their high repair costs when plane repair costs are much higher, then i realised that in tanks in a bad match you could lose 5 tanks so there would be a higher overall repair cost

That lost 30mm of pen makes the tanks it faces most often, Russian and American Heavys, even harder to kill. The fact they didn't list the nerf, raised the sl cost *AND* didn't adjust the BR again, makes me and many others believe that gaijen hates the french.
The AML-90 proves this even more.
Can you do WT beginner's guide for exWOT players? I'm thinking about trying out WT but mechanics seem to be very different, especially after years of playing Wot.
In general, (Coming from Blitz, T92E1 is bullshit; pls nerf), It's more so millsim style. If you play the country your familiar with, in my case Japanese, then it doesn't operate that differently. The main thing is instead of healthbars, you beat tanks by killing the crew or blowing up the ammoholds.
Then, there's the legendary Russian Bias. Compare WoT, where only Russian Heavies are really used vs WT, where BT-7 (the equivalent of Rank 2) can beat some rank 3 (Comparable to rank 5-6 on WoT) and people regularly play it for teh memes.
The only thing I learned is that the fun stuff is expensive
but the M24 has 3 variants (excluding the thunder league variant) each of them are exactly the same but have different repair time/cost, so they might also be looking at nations industrial capacity?

The E100 is about 10k more than the lorraine when spaded (depends on the game mode), AB : 31,5k, RB : 33k, SB : 11k (they changed it because before it was the inversed about 35k for SB and 15k for RB)

Speaking of repair costs: what the hell is wrong with the german Ostwind? In Arcade the repair costs are about 10k SL... even though it has the same penetrating qualities as the wirbelwind. Just the removed reload time between magazines does not justify triple the repair price.
Idea. If your tank has tires on it's wheels, it should have the option to eschew it's treads. At its own peril of course, because sometimes performance can suffer in the wrong environment.

Lorraine 40T is a fun tank to play ngl but I never noticed that it's repair cost was 23k perhaps because I have premium
You lost money because you went for a capture point... taking a lorraine straight to a cap at match open is a great way to get your face removed unless you were lucky enough to get kills on the way in before getting popped. It tends to do it's best work as a flanker/sniper. Not saying you can't cap in it, just that doing so is a great way to cancel out any earnings with that hefty repair.
The crew number should also be a criteria for repair costs.
If a tank performs too well you raise its battle rating. If a tank makes too much SL or RP you lower its SL/RP modifiers. The repair cost system is in place only to discourage playing a vehicle.
the good about this tank is the mobility and the armor (its thin, so solid shots cant spall and aphe a lot of the times will pass troughout the tank)

If it was the other way around.. that most people survive in most battles for example in some kind of a coop like simulator battle then sure have it cost 20k to repair.. but in a battle where you'll die for sure.. yeah thats just shit.. If even a single player decides hes going to kill you. He will.. Arty, Rushing, Sniping, Camping, Revenge bombing, Heli ATGMing.. theres more than enough ways to kill a single specific person.
also leopard does the same thing it does and yet is cheaper, has more ammunition variety, smaller profile, and is even more armored albeit not heavily but still a bonus.

All it does is make an endless circle - makes vehicle being played by only the best players, and it's statistics only increase, making it's repair cost go even higher. I really liked playing Ta-152C in tank RB, but with it's repair cost massively increased it was not viable anymore.

Overpowered vehicles or those too good for their BR surely do deserve high repair cost, at least this is the only thing which makes some people not play them. Lorraine 40t is one of them, sometimes repair cost is the only balancing factor cuz Gayjin does not want to balance things otherwise

Yea repair costs on this and numerous other tanks are ridiculous. If this tank was worth 24k SL then we would see everyone playing them in that BR. Not for sure how much it takes to recoup 1 death in this tank but if I recall correctly its 5 kills without a cap or booster. I want to say the normal abrams and IP abrams are still double any other top tier tank as well. What was the super advantage of those again Gaijin?
In my opinion you should not be able to lose money in a game, the repair cost should be taken out of the earned money but it should never go below zero.
imo no tank should have that high repair cost, just as no plane should ever have a 40k repair cost. Putting a risk factor like that doesn't balance the vehicle, it just makes its gameplay more polarising.
So at the end, people who face this tank still are at the disadvantage of dealing with a vastly superior vehicle, while the more casual players are scared off playing the vehicle because they fear losing serious amounts of rp. There's a reason so few people play the Ta 152's (and ofc other planes I am not as familiar with). Why would you want to play a plane which can set you back 40k sl?
Crazy high rp cost isn't balance. If something is too good or too bad, then fine tuning its characteristics and br should be the main way of balancing it. Rp cost should only be a variable in that fine tuning, not the only one though
