I got a 7002 -700A. . Great watch and fantastic movement. I had it serviced recently and put it up against a Casio Rangeman -for accuracy. In 3 days not a single second was lost. This thing is amazing.
My first Seiko was the 7002 Pepsi back in 1994. Now I also have the 7002 black colorway and the Pepsi SKX in my collection. Great watches for sure. Got the SKX011J1 recently too. Need the SKX007J1 and I will be in Cloud 9!
I have an SKX009 and a Pepsi Sea Urchin watch SNZF15J1 model with the 7S36 movement. I wish I could acquire the SKX7002 like you have it’s a fantastic Seiko watch 👍🏻💯
Have you thought of the Seiko 6458 which is the predecessor of both SKX and the 7002 and has the round indexes the SKX also has. It is an quartz version in comparison l. But it also has the version of the SKX011 "Orange boy" , is that then the Orange Daddy? 😂
The indices of 7002 resume those of 6309 729X (tudor ???). They are a simplification of the typical indices of 62mas and 6105 (from the 60s and 70s).. Regards (Seikopope)

I bought a 7002 about 3 months ago from an estate sale in rural South Carolina. It’s “unmolested” as you put it. I’m very happy with it. 🤠

Hey, If you're building a collection of those don't forget about Seiko 7548 too;) Wonderful fully jeweled all metal quartz movement.
I agree the simple date and the square indices are better. Also the crown position is slightly different. Cheers.
OMG! you're right, crown is in different position. I don't know how I didn't notice it before
@@QuartzCrisis Which also means the cases are different.
@@QuartzCrisis It has to do with the addition of the day wheel function. See this video for an explanation: ua-cam.com/video/vzGh7kEL8WY/v-deo.html

Great comparison. I own a 7002 but it has been modded. It's a fantastic watch and helped pave the way to the skx.
So many 7002s were lost to modding, that's why the originals are so rare now.
@@QuartzCrisis I know, I did try my best to restore to original but couldn't find anything close to what I wanted
@@WesWatchRoom not your fault with 7002, but good that your SKX is fully original.
@@QuartzCrisis i don't have an skx unfortunately, i meant that the 7002 helped make the skx a possibility. Probably should have phrased it better
I still have my un modded 7002 ive changed the hands for the lume but still have my original ones

A question of lume: Does the Promethium lume radiate the same regardless of whether it has been in the presence of a light source?
Kind of, it’s the same idea as Radium/Tritium just weaker
love my 7002 200m .l purchased in 1988 still working..never been serviced.
Amazing watch! But please replace the rubber gaskets + pressure test your watch. Long overdue.
Thanks for posting. Does anyone the know difference between 7002 and 4205 diver? They looked very similar. I think 4205 was smaller and older?
I own both. 4205 is older and smaller at 38mm. Both have only the date complication.
I have seen a Seiko 7002 with a dial that says "WATER 150m RESIST" all in white. Is this a genuine dial?
I don't think so, but there is a great guide "how to buy Seiko 7002" on watchuseek, check there.
Can interchange the bezel replacements?
theoretically it could be possible, but I didn't try

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Seikopope. I've learnt a lot from you. Especially about 7002-7039 Pepsi
@@QuartzCrisis 👌
Great video Mate! Lose the music next time, it's distracting.
Thank you! And I appreciate the feedback
Can one use a bezel insert for a SXK007 on a 7002? I have a 7002 i want to fix up
it might fit but they look very different, everyone will know that you've made a frankenwatch
I have an untouched 7002-7001, but the crystal is scratch. From where to buy a new crystal?
Ask your watchmaker, but I like scratched crystals on 7002, I kept mine
how I wish this kind of watch
I'd say watch my videos so you know how to buy a good authentic one and start looking for them on ebay. If you don't rush you can still get a good one
can't afford so expensive sir
