I ready like the way you present your instructions. So easy to follow. Your Santa hat looks great and really useful for candy cane decor themes. I think you could also make a nice matching garland.
Ruth thank you for showing the santa hat. This is the first time I've seen this done. I am new to crafting with deco mesh . Thank you, I will watch for more tutorials from you.
I love this!!! I have the same problem with the dollar tree deco mesh being messy when using it. I think this is my favorite tutorial so far! Thanks for sharing!
Me too. I was watching another channel and the lady rolled both sides of the deco mesh then gathered it in the middle. I thought that was a nice technique. I have so many spools of dollar tree deco mesh lying around because if that very reason. With the new method I'll be able to put them to goid use
You did a great job! I don't use Dollar Tree mesh because of the quality and I don't usually want the 6" mesh, but all mesh frays. You might try making cruffles instead of ruffles (just curl both ends a few times then do your ruffle). I find this helps hide those nasty frays! The wreath is just beautiful. I'm sure your husbands' cousin loved it. Thank you so much for sharing!
This is ADORABLE!! I've never done anything with mesh - yet- but I just had to watch. Maybe I'll try it soon. As my friend would say, unless your husband's cousin is a crafter, she probably wouldn't notice the frayed ends. We're always more critical of our work than others would be.
If you had not point out that one side was a little thinner then the other no one would have known. It looks SUPER even before you add the rest of the stuff. I just love that little sign Candy canes 5 cents.
Ruth, thank you for making such an absolutely adorable "Elf'ish Hat" that we can all drool over until/unless we get the gumption to try to make our very own!!! Unfortunately, I think we're going to have to wait until next year unless we hit up a Goodwill-type store & find someone's discarded witch's hat!!! If I find a lot in my area (N. E. OH) I'll post where they are!!! Thanks again! Happy crafting, can't wait to see what else you make! 😉 Please have a very safe, blessed, happy, warm and loved Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, a very Happy New Year & any other Holiday I ignorantly didn't cover, I greatly apologize!! Cathy 😀
Hi my name is Cheryl I watch your video when you did the Santa Claus hat sometimes when you find the road from Dollar Tree they do have flour in them but what you can do is camouflage it will some of your decoration I have did that and it turned out great so don't give up you doing a good job thank you
Hello Kathy, thank you for watching. I bought the holder a few years back at Walmart xmas time. The bow holder is from the thrift store. Thank you once again. Have a wonderful day.
Hi Ruth, it turned out really cute. I agree with you about the mesh from DT, but still love DT. Listen to your husband you should give it to your cousin. She'll love it.🙂💖
Great tutorial. I have not seen this before and I love your Pom Pom! You are doing a fantastic job. Don’t apologize to the viewers for things you can’t fix. To make yourself sound more confident instead of apologizing try saying thank you, “thank you for putting up with the shaky camera”, etc.
I just ran across this video of yours an fell in love with your Christmas wreath...It's beautiful !!!.I have the wire witch's hat an I have a question: if I bend the tip of the hat . an bend up the 2 ends of the brim will i use the same amount of white mesh for the 2 ends ?? please help
Hi Susie, hmmm... 🤔 that's a good question, you have me thinking. Lol honestly I would buy an extra roll just to be on the safe side. Or you can get a roll of 5 inch mesh at hobby lobby because there roll has more. Just wait until it's at 50 percent off. Thank you for watching.
@@spontaneousRuth Thank you so much for the Reply. I was referring to the poor Dollar Tree mesh quality. Thank goodness it was a practice Swag I was making for myself. Any suggestions where to purchase quality mesh without "breaking the bank"? Thanks.
I Have the same problem with dt mesh. Unfortunately, good mesh is pricey but you can get online a little cheaper. Try hobby lobby. They have decent mesh and this coming week they have the mesh at 50 percent off.
@@spontaneousRuth thank you. I bought the stocking wreath from the dollar tree and it has this very large space at the top with no other wires in between and I'm not sure what to do there. I have not found any videos on it.

What would happen if you put the bundles on the outside wire?
Hi Jennifer, to me, I think it would look to bunched up. But you can certainly put mesh there if you like.

Hello Lin, thank you so much. I'm doing well thank you. I hope everything is well with you as well. Thank you for watching.
