This stream is exactly like my local streams on the Front Range and throughout the Rocky Mountain National Park. Made for tenkara fishing. I'm so happy to discover this and get rid of all the bling in western fly fishing. Having a telescoping rod and no reel makes small stream so much more fun. And I'm catching way more fish than trees and bushes.
I've recently started Tenkara fishing and have caught quite a few fish!! My best day was around 25 browns from a tiny, tiny stream in Glencoe, Scotland. None were particularly large but it was great fun 😊 Look forward to a Saturday and watchin your videos, keep them coming 😁
Phenomenal creek. Late viewing and comment, as I was on a self-imposed hiatus, due to my inability to tolerate watching too much fishing when it's out of my season. But alas, I can only stay away for so long.
I wonder Tristan, have you ever experienced the pleasure of landing a fish, not in a net, but directly into your frying pan? Remarkably fresh! Nice stream; nice nice video!
What a super stream! I rather miss the drone footage you used to share - but I can appreciate using a drone in that type of canyon would be very high risk.
The last time I flew the drone while fishing, I crashed it into a tree, lost it, and had to spend $600 on a new one. Sooo... I'm not super interested in doing that these days lol.
LOL i was just going to ask "if" you ever would keep fish to cook eat [ but when i fished i could not kill what i caught...] Love see what fish you find and the water is relaxing watching it going down river...
I really enjoy your videos, but I wish you would share more info. Like what flies, and rod that you are using & where and why you're casting in the stream. Thanks!
suberbe sortie tenkara ! pourrais tu faire quelques vidéos sur le montage de tes kebari great tenkara outing! could you make some videos on the assembly of your kebari
I wish UA-cam allowed the posting of pictures in the comments; I fished a stream in southwest Virginia last week that had boulders the size of cars in it, and extremely slick wading. Beautiful stream, but I could see that it would fish better in low water conditions.
Beautiful spot. I forgot how much I enjoy your weekly videos- got lot of catching up to do. Are those fish all wild? Or any stocking? Such nice colors, particularly on some of those Rainbows
Awesome video as always!! What size fly go you prefer to use? Also I'm looking to get my first Tenkara rod. Any suggestions? I will be fishing mainly trout between 8"-14" in streams/rivers very similar to this video. Trying to keep it under $200 if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
Hey man! If you don't mind, could you share your mic setup? I just purchased the Edutige ETM-001 and while it's a lot better than my original gopro audio, it's pretty loud around heavy rapids, and subsequently my voice seems muted. I might try to mess around with the positioning of the mic a bit to help w/ that, but yeah, just wondering if you might share, since you're audio always sounds good.
I have the Mizuchi rod and just love it for all our average appalachian streams. Seeing you fish the Nirvana, would that fit nicely as my bigger stream with consistently bigger (15+ size) fish rod?
I've read, on past posts, that you don't use any floatant on your flies. If so, are you letting them naturally sink down slightly into the water before you recast and dry them out a bit with a few false casts? It's tough to see in your videos, how the fly is actually behaving in or on the water. Thanks.
Tenkara flies are wet flies, so they are fished subsurface. There's no need to dry them out with false casts or anything. Yes, I'm letting them naturally sink.
Can you please try to leave the browns in the water because it is spawning season now and if you catch them or handle them too much they may not be able to spawn
This stream is a dream.
Unintentional poetry.

Its amazing how they immediately blend into surroundings and just disappear once u release them !
That looks so much like many of the small streams I love to fish in the Sierras. Perfect water for tenkara.

Please start letting us know the names of the rivers and streams your are fishing. I promise we will take good care of them and the fish.
If there is a heaven, can’t be any prettier than that creek.
It was pretty great, for sure!
That’s the best place, perfect water and perfect fish, thanks for the video sir.
Yep, it was pretty great! Thanks for watching.
Love the quality of these fish, keep up the amazing videos.
LOL ... yeah, I slipped on very slick boulders many times. I feel your pain ...
Super fun day. You can totally hear your excitement in these catches!
Yep, I had a great time!
What a beautiful stream with big fish! Thanks for sharing!
Yep, this was a great stream! Thanks for watching, Steve.

Looks like our Western Cape South Africa mountain streams. Good one!
Sounds like I need to visit, then! Thanks for watching.
Epic day of fishing👏

What a beutifull stream. Good days fishing there. Nice one. B
Thanks Brendan!

Nice to hear you having fun and being confident in this video! Hope you didn't sustain injury from that slip?
Wyoming has some great fishing....especially western Wyoming 👍
It does indeed!
LOL i was just going to ask "if" you ever would keep fish to cook eat [ but when i fished i could not kill what i caught...] Love see what fish you find and the water is relaxing watching it going down river...
I didn't eat fish growing up, so I never really acquired a taste for it. So no, I don't eat any of the fish I catch. Thanks Mary!

Check the video description 👍
Nice fishes!
They really were! Thanks for watching.
Great video. What an awesome creek. May have to dm you on this one...😋
It was great fishing, for sure 👍 👍
Love it brother!
Thanks Shaun!

Yes, stay tuned for videos about the kebari I use. They're coming. Thanks Eric.

Sounds fun! But yeah, I bet the wading is treacherous. Thanks for watching.
very nice trout. Hi from france
Thanks Jean-Paul!
I missed your opinion on the Nirvana.

Yep, I think so 👍
I use hemostats too.
👍 👍
Dinner!!
I don't like to eat fish, but sure lol!
Maybe you should with all the time and effort you put into this. Lol.

Perfect stream with beautiful trouts! Are you fishing with barb on the hook, or barbless?
Always barbless
I've been wanting to try tenkara for a while but it's already winter where I am
You can still fish in winter, it's just more... unpleasant lol. Thanks for watching.
Can you please try to leave the browns in the water because it is spawning season now and if you catch them or handle them too much they may not be able to spawn
If you check the video description, you'll see that this was filmed in August. Brown trout do not spawn here in August.
What line are you using?
That info is always in the video description
