The winter climbing season started poorly. There was a lack of snow and the temperatures were warm for this time of the year. But anyway, I decided to go out there and at least take a look.
Luck was on my side as the snow conditions were quite decent, so I got to enjoy a bit of winter climbing, and of course some delicious pasta on top.

Hey Andraz, I really enjoy your videos, thanks for the effort! (and keep safe...it's easy to be carried away by all of the views and likes and start doing more extreme stuff as a result). I saw another one of your videos climbing a frozen waterfall where you used ice axes. I keep thinking that if you lose one (or both) of your axes then you can get completely stuck - shouldn't the axes be tied to your body somehow?

Been there. Losing gear like gloves is rough but at least it wasn't a multi-day ascent requiring you to back track for it.

Yup. If it was a longer/ more serious ascent, I would have for sure taken a second pair of gloves. But this time it wasn't needed.

Andraz, what do you think of the Cassin X dream? Have you got any opinion against your Grivel machines?

Haven't used it before, but it looks pretty similar to the grivel machines, so can't go wrong with it :)
And the adjustable little rest handle/ledge on the upper part is a nice addition.
