I still don’t get why so many people don’t like this song. Blink’s been around for ages, they’re bound to try different stuff from what they normally do. Tbh “Blame It On My Youth” gives me some “Bored to Death”/“Home is Such a Lonely Place” vibes, which I really like.
It's almost strictly the overproduction on the mixing part. From a musical perspective, the melody and lyrics are right up Blink's alley, but the guitars are just washed up and set to the back of the recording to the point that the song just sounds "poppy". Part of the reason we like Blink is the heavily distorted guitars.

I think it sounds a lot better with the guitar sound, on the recording it just sounds so bland and poppy. If they released sounding more like this I think it have done a lot better
