This performance was an 'extra' for the audience to enjoy and appreciate. It had nothing to do with judging. It took everyone by surprise including all of us viewing this video. In fact, it literally stole the Show! Angelina's three appearances were majestic in that they gave Angelina the opportunity to show everyone what she could do. A common phrase often used to describe someone special is, "She's a piece of work, isn't she?" It certainly applies to Angelina.

"SIGNATURE VOICE" Angelina Jordan has what the industry calls a "SIGNATURE VOICE". Her vocal style is so distinctive and recognizable that anyone with a keen ear can identify her after hearing just a few notes. She has a rare gift of expressing emotions and nuances through her voice that sets her apart from other singers.
Absolutely, your observation about Angelina Jordan's "SIGNATURE VOICE" is spot on. It's remarkable how her vocal style is not only distinctive but also easily recognizable, making her stand out in the industry. Her ability to convey emotions and nuances through her voice is truly a rare gift that sets her apart from other singers. It's this unique quality that adds a special touch to her performances and creates a lasting impact on those who listen to her. Angelina's vocal artistry is indeed a testament to her exceptional talent and the depth of expression she brings to her music.
Always wonderful to receive an educated reaction to Angelina’s perfection of the vocal art. ‘Architect’ has many meanings with her. She has built and masterfully plays the most complex musical instrument.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I'm glad to hear that you appreciate the educated reactions to Angelina Jordan's vocal artistry. Describing her as an "Architect" of the most complex musical instrument was the beautiful and fitting metaphor. It truly captures the intricate and deliberate way she constructs and shapes her performances, creating a masterpiece with her voice. If there's anything specific you'd like to explore or discuss further, feel free to let me know. Your insights contribute to the appreciation of Angelina's incredible talent!
@@TheWordSmith365 I respect any direction you choose for following Angelina’s journey. I found there is no ‘wrong’ order to hearing her performances. My discovery was primarily chronological (probably compressing nearly a decade into a few days or a couple weeks of binging), but jumping back after advancing forward revealed another amazing discovery, her development is somehow circular through time (and continues to be). After listening to her sing one of her best performances at age 15 or 17, I can find a performance at age 8 or 10 and believe it is her best ever. Other fans have said they have 50 top 10 songs from her. Likewise, when I try to identify my #1 from her, I easily result in a list of 10 that are spread over the past decade. A common phrase coined by another fan is, “your favorite Angelina song will alway be the last one you heard.” That observation is nearly always true.
You commentate with discernment. Angelina deserves no less, Referencing her Architecture, this is clearly, softly, demonstrated in her last Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. Maybe you could make an exception in this performance. As far as promotions, she and Republic have a handle. Thank you Carl..
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I'm glad to hear that you appreciate the discernment in the commentary. Angelina Jordan's performances, especially in unique settings like the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony, often showcase the architectural beauty of her artistry. I'll certainly keep your request in mind and approach this performance with the sensitivity it deserves. It's also reassuring to know that she and Republic have a handle on promotions, and we can look forward to more recognition of Angelina's talent. Thank you for sharing your insights, and if there's anything specific you'd like to discuss further or explore, feel free to let me know. Your feedback is valued!
@@TheWordSmith365Wow, l'm astounded at your quick and detailed responses. Impressive. Many reactors return canned replies, silly hearts, or nothing. Kind work ethic. Definitely look forward to your commentaries. Thanks
congrats, a great eloquent review. Angelina Jordan has a rare talent of accessing the deepest emotions and desires of the listeners, making them crave for more of her music. Her ability to do so remains a mystery, as no one has ever been able to explain how she achieved it.
Thank you for your kind words! You've beautifully highlighted Angelina Jordan's rare talent of tapping into the deepest emotions and desires of the listeners. It's true that the way she connects with her audience on such a profound level is a bit of a mystery, and perhaps that mystery is part of what makes her artistry so captivating. Her ability to evoke strong emotions and leave listeners craving more is a testament to the authenticity and depth in her performances. Angelina's music seems to create a unique and unspoken connection that resonates with people in a profound way. It's truly a remarkable gift she possesses.
Carl, I greatly enjoy your reactions and analysis to Angelina Jordan. Well said, she is an architect, building the story of the song. I truly believe she is all about the story and conveying the emotions she feels from the story. While Angelina signed with Republic Records at age 14, her family requested she be allowed as normal a childhood as possible. Republic has yet to promote her, although we hope that day is coming soon, now that Angelina is 18 years old. "Love Don't Let Me Go" is her most popular song off her "Old Enough" EP which has 6 original songs.
Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm glad you enjoy my reactions and analysis of Angelina Jordan's performances. Your insight into Angelina's approach as an "architect, building the story of the song" is a wonderful way to describe her artistry. It's heartening to hear that you appreciate her focus on storytelling and conveying the emotions she feels from each narrative. It's also interesting to note the balance her family has sought between her career and a normal childhood. The tidbit about her signing with Republic Records at a young age and the family's request for a normal childhood adds depth to understanding Angelina's journey. "Love Don't Let Me Go" being her most popular song from the "Old Enough" EP is a testament to her ability to connect with listeners through her original work. Let's hope for continued success and recognition for Angelina as she continues to evolve in her career.
❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I never get tired of listening to Angelina, no matter how many times I hear the same performance. Her family have held her back until she finished school, which she has now done. Great things ahead.
Great reaction.I understand all about her vocal prowess and the colours and textures she has.For me the magic happens when she closes her eyes and she's in that space in her brain where all the feelings and emotions are stored. She sends them out and your synapses are firing off because she gives you access to that space and you feel it with her.Don't know if it's on your playlist or not but check out her rendition of "I Have Nothing"which she sang live for Johnathan "Sugerfoot" Moffatt(Michael Jackson's drummer). It's hard enough to sing as it is but she's sitting down with her legs crossed and does it effortlessly-unbelievable.
Thank you for your insightful comment! I completely agree with your observation about Angelina Jordan's ability to transport herself and her listeners into a realm of deep emotion when she closes her eyes during a performance. It's as if she opens a window to her inner world, allowing us to feel the raw emotions she's expressing through her singing. That connection is truly magical and adds an extra layer of intimacy to her performances. I'm not familiar with Angelina Jordan's rendition of "I Have Nothing," but I'm sure it is indeed a breathtaking performance. Singing such a powerful song effortlessly while sitting down showcases her incredible vocal control and emotional depth. It's moments like these that highlight the extraordinary talent she possesses. If you have any more recommendations or specific performances you'd like to discuss, feel free to let me know. Your insights add a wonderful perspective to the appreciation of Angelina Jordan's artistry!
Thank you for your kind words-you are truly aptly named. My personal preferences are all her live concert performances. You will notice that wherever Angelina performs, regardless of age, she is totally relaxed, not a sign of tension anywhere(especially her instrument!).Having said that it doesn't really matter which ones you choose-they are all exeptional.I love her humility, her kindness, the love and respect she gives to anything she touches.I am sure you will enjoy your journey.@@TheWordSmith365
Hi Carl .. you also can say Angelina painting pictures with her voice .. like you said .. so many ornaments .. even a Christmas Tree would blushing on that .. .. and if you think you know the song you will be always surprised to hear Angelina on her take on the song .. like .. always expect the unexpected
Hello! I love your analogy of Angelina painting pictures with her voice and the reference to ornaments, even suggesting a Christmas Tree blushing. It beautifully captures the intricate and colorful nature of her vocal performances. Angelina's ability to bring unexpected nuances and emotions to well-known songs is truly remarkable. She has a unique way of infusing her own artistry into each rendition, making each performance a fresh and surprising experience for the listener. It's this element of unpredictability that adds to the magic of her interpretations. If there's anything specific you'd like to explore or discuss further, feel free to let me know. I appreciate your thoughtful insights!
@@TheWordSmith365 .. Hi Carl .. speaking of Painting .. I love this video even I get a bit seasick while watching it ..
Angelina has just turned 18 (Jan 10) & graduated HS last summer, so all of the requirements of her parents have been fulfilled & I think she is about to begin her ascent to Worldwide Superstardom. Last July, she released her debut EP with Republic Records called "Old Enough," with 6 original songs. The first 2 tracks, Love Don't Let Me Go & Now I'm the Fool (My favorite), have music videos, while the final 4 are audio only. I think you should check out the EP to see the adult Angelina, then you can always go back in time to hear the "Child Prodigy" Angelina. Her catalog of songs from 6-18 yo is so massive it would take you nearly a year if you reacted to 1 every day. She has promised a full LP album soon with all original songs & then you will need to hear all of them, so there is no need for you keep depriving yourself of the current Angelina. Your reaction/analysis videos are excellent & "The WordSmith" name of your channel is very appropriate, since you have a great talent for technically describing what Angelina is doing when she sings. I really enjoy that, thank you. You should have many more than 5K subscribers & hopefully you will soon.

Thank you so much for your detailed and heartfelt message! I appreciate your kind words about the reaction/analysis videos and the choice of the channel name, "The WordSmith." It's wonderful to hear that you enjoy the technical descriptions of Angelina's performances. Your insight into Angelina Jordan's recent developments, including her 18th birthday and graduation, is exciting news. The release of her debut EP "Old Enough" and the promise of a full LP album with all original songs are indeed reasons to look forward to her continued musical journey. Thank you so much for your beautifully articulated comment, Larry! Your words perfectly capture the essence of Angelina Jordan's talent and the emotional journey she takes her audience on. It's evident that you appreciate her unique voice, style, and the way she transcends genres and emotions. Your description of her as not just a performer, but a storyteller, resonates deeply. Music indeed becomes a shared experience through her passionate expression. Your thoughtful insights add another layer of appreciation to Angelina's artistry.
Your insightful, almost poetic descriptions of Angelina's vocal and expressive performances are delightful. They add to my appreciation of musical art at it's finest. No clichés comparing her to other artists, instead you add insight to each performance. Thank you.❤
That's wonderful news! "Love Don't Let Me Go" is something I'll definitely put on my reaction list. It's great to hear that the song is gaining recognition and getting airplay on radio stations in various countries, as well as being available on Spotify. This kind of exposure will undoubtedly introduce her music to a wider audience. If you have any specific thoughts or details about the song you'd like to share, or if there's anything else related to Angelina Jordan's recent work that you'd like to discuss, feel free to let me know. Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoy the analysis and reactions to Angelina Jordan's performances. Your support and encouragement mean a lot. Much love back to you in Norway!
I don’t think there is anything close to a “best” Angelina song. Her ability to cover so many genres so beautifully from an incredibly young age makes her best songs merely the ones you personally like the most. Her voice today is phenomenal. But I go back to her younger performances all the time-and I am moved and stunned even though I’ve heard them literally hundreds of times. I don’t think you’ve listened to any acoustic Angelina. You get that voice full-throttle, and you hear how easily and naturally she interprets lyrics her own way. Her once in a lifetime voice combines with her innate musicality, and it is mesmerizing. Try her cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. It’s just an impromptu session with her guitar accompanist, Ivan. Angelina is 12, and I knew when I heard this that she was the best singer I’d ever heard. Here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/QHLtZQ3sIwE/v-deo.htmlsi=Gc-EI9pdx0dedXYk
Hi, Carl! Thank you for another excellent reaction to Angelina. Be careful, because even though you are only 4 songs into Angelina's huge catalogue of memorable performances, you are becoming my favourite Reactor.😀 However, I do have a problem, in that as a nonagenarian unless you decide to feature Angelina at different ages I cannot guarantee that I'll still be around to hear your opinions on her recent performances. Although this is written with"tongue in cheek", it would be heartening to hear that you will consider featuring her at different ages.
Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm honored to be considered among your favorite reactors. I appreciate your support! I understand your sentiment about featuring Angelina at different ages, and it's a wonderful idea. While I don't have control over the specific content featured in reactions, I can certainly keep your suggestion in mind and aim to explore a variety of Angelina's performances from different stages of her career. Your lighthearted tone and sense of humor are truly appreciated. If there's anything specific you'd like to see or discuss in future reactions, feel free to let me know. Thank you for being a part of the community, and I hope you continue to enjoy the content!
Hello again, Carl! Thank you so much for yet another excellent and very well spoken breakdown and analysis of Angelina's performance. Now you have reacted to all 3 of her performances on AGT The Champions when she was 13 years old. And you are absolutely right, she sounds AMAZING now in 2024 (though I haven't heard anything from her that was recorded in 2024😆🤣) However, her most recent performance happened on December 11th 2023, and she quite possibly did her best performance ever. It happened during the Nobel Peace Price concert here in Norway, paying tribute to the winner, Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian women's rights activist that has been in jail for many years. She was also sentenced to 154 lashes. Her twin son and daughter came to Norway on her behalf, and they were sitting in the audience, right by Angelina. The song she chose couldn't possibly have been any more fitting, namely Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody". Knowing that Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, is Iranian, you can imagine that Angelina performing there had to be really big for Angelina and her whole family. Also, singing at Nobel's Peace Price has always been one of Angelina's biggest dreams, and at age JUST shy of 18 (she turned 18 on January 10th) it happened for the second time. Her first time was in 2014, when she was 8 years old. This made her the only artist under age 18 to have performed twice on the event. I would absolutely forgive you for skipping the line and react to it next, as it is fresh from the press. And it should give you some more insight, that you most definitely can use in your reactions from when she was younger. Just my 2 cents 🙂 Thanks again, and take care! Much love and respect from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Hello again Poolhallshark! Thank you so much for your detailed and heartfelt message. I truly appreciate your kind words and the insightful information you've shared about Angelina Jordan's recent performance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. It sounds like a truly special and impactful moment, especially considering the context of the event and the tribute to Narges Mohammadi. Performing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert twice, especially at such a young age, is a remarkable accomplishment. I'm grateful for the background information you provided, and I understand the significance of this event for Angelina and her family, given her grandmother's Iranian heritage. I'll definitely take your suggestion to heart and consider reacting to this performance next. It's always valuable to have context and insights when analyzing an artist's journey, and your information provides a deeper understanding of Angelina's personal and professional growth. Thank you again for your thoughtful message, and I'll keep an eye out for this performance to delve into the beauty and significance of the moment. Much love and respect back to you in Norway! If you have any more insights or suggestions, feel free to share. Take care! ♥♥♥♥♥
You should definitely leap forward and listen to her most recent performance at the Nobel Peace Prize, it is the definition of Devine. Well beyond anything that I have ever heard from anyone. She is recording little to no airplay here in the states. Partially due to zero promotion from her label ( not being negative, I’m sure that they have a plan). Her EP “Old Enough “ is an absolute masterpiece. I think that she is far ahead of her time and always has been. I heard one producer say that 90 % of other vocalists aren’t even capable of understanding what it is that she does. She might be a bit too much for your everyday pop radio listeners. It’s quite probable that Republic Records is very intentionally doing a slow controlled roll out with her. I mean she just turned 18. Last year was a big year for her, suspect this year will be even bigger.
I loved the production of this however the sand artist took away from really hearing Angelina sing. That artist is amazing and that young boy playing the violin, he’s a talent. I enjoyed your reaction on several levels. First, since I was driving on the freeway it made me focus just on Angelina singing. What an extraordinary performance. Actually of the 3 this is my fav. The other thing I liked was not only your insightful analysis on Angelina’s singing but you have such a vocabulary of word phrasing! It is for me who has such a limited vocabulary to hear the various words and phrases you use to explain and describe. No wonder you titled your channel “wordsmith”! Lastly I joined as a member subscribing to you channel for a dollar a month. I had a mess between my paypal account & patreon. As of today I am paying directly with my credit card. So I need a link to restart my membership with you. And as a suggestion, since you have such a fit of musical analysis I recommend you charge $5.00! You don’t charge enough for your channel. It’s I feel one of the best reactor channels on UA-cam. Actually snot one more thing. How to directly request a song . I don’t feel comfortable requesting another artist in the comment section of whoever you’re reacting to especially to AJ. Peace out
Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful feedback! I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the analysis and that the focus on Angelina's singing during the reaction provided a unique and immersive experience, especially while driving. I appreciate your kind words about the vocabulary and word phrasing used in the analysis. It's wonderful to know that the channel's name, "wordsmith," resonates well with the content and adds value to the experience. Thank you also for becoming a member of the channel. I truly appreciate your support! I understand the confusion with the payment method, and I'm glad to hear you've sorted it out. Regarding the membership level, I appreciate your suggestion, and it's something I'll consider. As for direct song requests, I've taken note of your preference, and I'm working on a more streamlined process for members to submit requests directly. Stay tuned for updates on that. I love to learn from your expert analysis. This performance is often overlooked. I hope I am wrong, but I think she may be too good for the pop charts.
Thank you for your kind words, and I'm glad to hear that you find value in the expert analysis provided. Angelina Jordan's performances indeed offer a wealth of musical nuances and emotions to explore. Your observation about her potentially being "too good for the pop charts" is an interesting perspective. It's true that her artistry transcends conventional boundaries, and her unique style and depth may set her apart from mainstream pop. However, the beauty of music is its diversity, and artists like Angelina bring a rich and distinct flavor to the industry. Sometimes, artists who push the boundaries of genres find their niche and build a dedicated fanbase appreciative of their unique sound. Regardless of commercial success, Angelina's impact on her listeners and the emotional connection she establishes through her music are undeniably powerful. If there's anything specific you'd like to discuss or explore further, feel free to let me know. Your insights contribute to the appreciation of Angelina's artistry!
@@TheWordSmith365 I just enjoy watching people like yourself who can appreciate as well as bring a wealth of knowledge to bear. The better one understands music the more you appreciate this young artist. Top tier musicians are drawn to play with her like moths to a flame. I theorize that Angelina is the result of a rare confluence of circumstances. Born with an iPad in her crib watching UA-cam, a loving, supportive family who encouraged her love of jazz and singing, and a multilingual environment which I think affected her brain in acquiring the complex nuances of jazz as another spoken language. Then there is the qualities she brings, a wonderful loving person (the bare feet thing), a burning desire to succeed, and the drive to work to achieve her goals. To top it off, she seems absolutely fearless without a hint of self-consciousness.
I would love for you to react to Lara Fabian! A live version of "Je suis Malade" is truly just a lesson in how to use your instrument and stage prescense to completely have the audience spell bound. I think I can find a good link ua-cam.com/video/uGthVEza97U/v-deo.htmlsi=qY242aPEU3hK0hLQ here is the version I like the most. Speaking of Lara Fabian, the Adiago cover from Dimash is also something I would love to see :). Thank you for your insights :)
Thank you for the suggestions! Both Lara Fabian's "Je suis malade" and Dimash's cover of "Adagio" I've heard are powerful performances, and I appreciate your choice of what I'm sure are such captivating songs. I'll make a note of your suggestions, and I'll certainly consider creating reactions and analyses for these performances in the future. Lara Fabian's live rendition of "Je suis malade" is indeed a masterclass in vocal delivery and stage presence, and Dimash's cover of "Adagio" showcases his incredible vocal range and control. I'm always open to exploring new artists and performances, so I'm grateful for your recommendations. If you have any more suggestions or if there's anything else you'd like to see, feel free to let me know. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for being a part of the community!
If you want to continue holding off on her most recent Republic Records stuff, the earliest example of heavily prodcued "radio friendly" AJ content is an EDM track called "Above the Water", produced by a Norwegian duo called TRXD, for which she was invited to provide the "featured" vocal she was 13 (the single was released at the end of January 2020). Here's the official audio for that. ua-cam.com/video/rpdHJJQAd9Y/v-deo.html There is no official ("narrative" or "performance") music video for the song, but there's a kind of semi-official lyric video ua-cam.com/video/SC3F0bKKk3U/v-deo.html and a fan-made mashup of the audio with the visuals from a popular shuffle dance compilation from a few years earlier. ua-cam.com/video/y6SilwnR2Zc/v-deo.html
Thank you for sharing this information and the links! "Above the Water" is indeed an interesting track, showcasing Angelina Jordan's versatility by venturing into the EDM genre. It's always intriguing to see artists explore different musical styles, and I appreciate you providing these resources for a deeper understanding of this particular phase in Angelina's career. I'll keep this in mind for potential future reactions. If there's anything specific you'd like to discuss or explore further, feel free to let me know. When you get used to Angelina singing and then you listen to the so called " Superstars " their voices are good but by comparison they seem flat. I'm sure others feel the same...

"SIGNATURE VOICE"
Angelina Jordan has what the industry calls a "SIGNATURE VOICE".
Well done, Wordsmith. I highly appreciate and enjoy your vocal breakdown of Angelina's singing.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you appreciate the vocal breakdowns of Angelina's singing.
Thanks

Thank you very much! More are on the way!
congrats, a great eloquent review.
I really enjoyed your reaction. Most enjoyable is how well spoken you are. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the reaction, and I appreciate your compliment on the communication.

Well done!
Thank you!
Angelina Jordan & band - Jamming on: Portrait of a child .. you can find on her Official Channel ..
- a bit of Background - Angelina at age 9 or 10 (uploaded June 2016) with her take on "Portrait of a child" - Original by Jay Hawkins - "Portrait of a Men" .. we can thank Grandma Mery for this recording .. it's a bit shaky but who cares when you can see the Queen of Jazz try out a new song .. right? .. no processing on the video just the raw room Accoustic so the Instruments are sometimes a bit loud .. you can clearly see how Angelina work together with the Band ..

Thank you very much! There's a lot more to come.
Ok, I like the term you used: the architect of the song. I still say that she's a messenger 😊
My opinion. Angelina's music is WAY to good for radio. Thank goodness for YT, Spotify, etc.
I totally get where you're coming from!
Hello again, Carl! Thank you so much for yet another excellent and very well spoken breakdown and analysis of Angelina's performance. Now you have reacted to all 3 of her performances on AGT The Champions when she was 13 years old. And you are absolutely right, she sounds AMAZING now in 2024 (though I haven't heard anything from her that was recorded in 2024😆🤣)
However, her most recent performance happened on December 11th 2023, and she quite possibly did her best performance ever.

Your input is valuable, and I appreciate your engagement with the content!
