Perfect way to learn it. This is exactly how I teach it. Staying low another great tip

Thanks mike that's a good idea and part of what I been saying, the big problem is ego and arrogant genetics you know their parents know it all an the kids probably know a lot so they figure why listen,if I didn't listen I would not be where I am today...I'm thankful that I have had people their in the trades skating who were cool enuf to give a crap about some hyper ass kid who wouldnt away till I learned how to do airs
..knowing the transition is the most important part the more u know it the smaller that space is between start position,I was coaxed into it by my friends on an eight quarter pipe that I helped build, come on your skating a 14 foot half pipe,oh yeah I forgot....you just got have your legs ready don't squat to much you'll never be able to handle the g force u want your legs in a strong position when you g out...but that was a really good way to get you closer to the unknown part of it the more u know your pool or bowl the easier it will be u just gotta be ready for a burst of speed and some good g force and know where your gonna go with all that speed carve kick turn fakie nope work the pump it a rush...it the best acceleration of skating but know your next move control the speed nice section u picked to show it mike don't go real high till your legs are used to the force of the drop luke use the force ...

Mike V is right, IMHO the more effort you put into bending your knees going down, the best chance you have of making it. Low center gravity is better than high center gravity. I think his advice to learn to do a fakie tail stall thingy is good. I used to think of dropping in as landing a small table top fakie ollie. Sometimes before I drop, I like to rock back before dropping in so I get the feeling of coming back in on a fakie ollie.

when people call transition vert it pisses me off me so much!!!!!!!!!

Why, it is exactly the same thing, as the ramps get bigger, it has more and more vert. Vert ramps are anything with a straight drop in, like this ramp he is on.

The vert part extents up from the flat towards vertical, vert is 90 degrees from the 0 flat but the technico is da same u don't really want to start on a ramp with vert because u can't handle the truth...acceleration work your way up to bigger transition and vert....holding the back foot on the coping is all I focus on when I drop,we you to call it an elevator 40 years ago I still like that best, but dropping in is cool.

Please start by learning what a vert ramp is... I am so tired of all those "how to" videos that don't even mention the proper name of the trick.
