When I was growing up those worms would get in my grandmother's pecan tree. She would put wads of newspapers on a long stick and burn the nest out of her trees. She would burn them before the worms started leaving the nest and damaging her trees.

Moses is a smart bull. The animals look so happy Paw Paw. Those furry works are Salt Marsh Moth catarpillars. They are hitting early this year due to the warm winter. Usually come in the fall. East Texas is getting hit hard this year.

The app said the caterpillar can do some damage to your trees if you see a significant number of them because they eat the leaves and can stop the trees from photosynthesis. Mornin Pawpaw. Google says those bugs are fall webworms, they're harmless, they just eat foliage. It also say to break up the webs so predators can eat them. Just FYI, lol. We had to take them down & dispose of them. They practically ruined our Pecan tree. We live in Kansas. Happy the couple who took your Big Red tractor is getting it all refurbished and send you videoes. Poor babes are so hot. We will be 97 here tomorrow & some parts 100's for first time this year. I absolutely love those beautiful pink flowers on those trees, and I hope the rains don't do any other damage to them. It's cold here in the mountains of Virginia with the temps at only 52 this morning and yesterday too although it was also very windy yesterday as well, but I did get a lot of work done outside yesterday in that much cooler weather, I love seeing moses taking a refreshing dip in the pond, but your donkey is the true star of your channel. Ivan has one big personality and when he is bawling at you, he always brings a smile to my face. One of my neighbors bought himself a donkey and every time he starts that bawling like that it makes every single one of my rescue dogs howls because they have never heard anything like it before and when they start this, I find it completely hilarious because they had never howled at all before he came to the neighborhood.😄

We are getting a plague of insects this year hitting certain parts of the country. It's not necessarily from the flooding. There will be billions of them. 😢

Hi PawPaw 👋 I think they're caterpillers PawPaw. We've always had green n br 9:249:24 own ones n even hairy ones. Yours are downright furry. If they're true to form, they'll destroy or eat on the leaves but not kill the tree. The prob is they'll lay eggs to come back in the spring. But with you not having winter kill like we do, not sure if yours will b worse or more prevalent. Sorry. Too bad u can't spray them. I just love hearing our handsome Foreman Ivan talking to you! I was disappointed though, that he was mean to Gidget. She's so sweet n wouldn't harm anyone. Moses had the best seat in the house. Lol!- lying down in the pond! He looked so cool n comfy! Those caterpillars will destroy your trees we had them for a couple of years, the branches just die off Took a couple of years after gone before trees came back but still had dead branches

I think it is a hybrid satin caterpillar/silkworm. This caterpillar, just like the oak processionary caterpillar, has irritating stinging hairs that sometimes cause allergic reactions. Not just in humans; Animals also suffer from it. If you come into contact with the stinging hairs, you may suffer from a red rash with bumps and blisters. You also get severe itching. These complaints usually disappear on their own after a week. It is also possible that you will experience the following complaints, but these are less common: Eye irritation Dry throat/hoarseness Breathing disorders.
To me they look like the gypsy moth we have here in Pennsylvania. They destroy trees of their leaves. They are in big white web tents in the trees. The Government released big flies to get rid of them. But they are a pain too.
Hi PawPaw, The caterpillars are similar to the gypsy moth caterpillars we had a few summers ago. They were everywhere and munching & pooping on everything! We had them 2 summers then the last 2 summers nothing. I think they come out every so many years.

It’s good you put the rod in the hole in the cast iron y’all burn wood in to cook out so you can let the water run out !! It’s sure getting hot early in Texas this year and in lots of places in the country , the weather patterns are changing g due to climate change it seems everywhere ! It is a yellow wolly bear caterpillar, that is what they are called. They will turn into a white moth. Sometimes they are yellow, brownish red.

It is call White Woolly Bear Caterpillar.
It also comes in black and yellow they are not poisonous and it doesn't bite
In Michigan we call those Army Worms. They make webs around whatever they are eating and lay eggs in the webs. They will kill trees 🥺

That's a webworm which will turn into a white moth with spots, not a butterfly!
Be sure to carry a jug of cold water or Gatorade type of liquid with you in the mule in the heat you have. ❤

I think they're caterpillers PawPaw. We've always had green n br 9:24 9:24 own ones n even hairy ones. Yours are downright furry.
If they're true to form, they'll destroy or eat on the leaves but not kill the tree. The prob is they'll lay eggs to come back in the spring. But with you not having winter kill like we do, not sure if yours will b worse or more prevalent. Sorry. Too bad u can't spray them.

I think it is a hybrid satin caterpillar/silkworm. This caterpillar, just like the oak processionary caterpillar, has irritating stinging hairs that sometimes cause allergic reactions. Not just in humans; Animals also suffer from it. If you come into contact with the stinging hairs, you may suffer from a red rash with bumps and blisters. You also get severe itching. These complaints usually disappear on their own after a week. It is also possible that you will experience the following complaints, but these are less common:
Eye irritation
Dry throat/hoarseness
Breathing disorders.
To me they look like the gypsy moth we have here in Pennsylvania. They destroy trees of their leaves. They are in big white web tents in the trees. The Government released big flies to get rid of them. But they are a pain too.

Hi PawPaw, The caterpillars are similar to the gypsy moth caterpillars we had a few summers ago. They were everywhere and munching & pooping on everything! We had them 2 summers then the last 2 summers nothing. I think they come out every so many years.

Murtles laying on the ground. They are so pretty. Seems like last year they were all bloomed and you all had a storm and it did the same thing. Those white worms are everywhere. Morning pawpaw I’m sorry about your crepe Merdle tree limb getting broken but glad not the whole tree being hurt!! I was glad to see that Naryann and Ginger were back in with Bootsey , I worried about her being lonely all by herself back there In the pen being a herd animal and not having friends with her ! It’s good you put the rod in the hole in the cast iron y’all burn wood in to cook out so you can let the water run out !! It’s sure getting hot early in Texas this year and in lots of places in the country , the weather patterns are changing g due to climate change it seems everywhere ! The grass had had so much water it’s growing fast hopefully there won’t be a bad drought this year later like it has been the past couple of years.
