The Star Wars Early Bird piece of cardboard worth nine grand has a slightly different origin story. It wasn't that there was a shortage of stock. There was no stock. The figures didnt exist yet.
After my grandma passed away, my uncle visited her house to clean it out and get it ready to sell, but he found a pile of him and my dad's old toys, one of which was the double telescoping luke skywalker shown here 21:43
As far as I know Rocket Firing Bobba Fet was never released. Not sure if there were prototypes but pretty sure back then a prototype would be just a piece of plastic junk unceremoniously thrown away. Anyway lots of dolls and even one automaton. How about a video about actual action figures - better yet: super heroes figures! 😃
16:39 those last 2 have gotta be like…joke eBay listings or something where someone is selling something for way over what it is worth. Like people selling the hot toys anakin skywalker robe or just his head for $1000
That Babe Ruth is a special repaint of a common figure where he’s originally wearing his Boston Red Sox uniform. He’s in an old time pitching pose, because he was predominantly a pitcher when he played for the Red Sox. Not sure why a Yankees repaint is so desirable though
After watching the Kenner Star Wars episode of the Netflix series The Toys That Made Us, I believe I know the truth about Rocket firing Boba Fett. He was originally going to be like the box set where you bought the card and sent it to Kenner and they promised to senf you your very own Rocket firing Boba Fett. But tragedy struck when a child choked and died on a missile shot out of a spaceship in Mattel's Battlestar Galactica line of toys. This made Kenner never send the rocket firing Boba Fett figure to anyone, and it was replaced by the regular Boba Fett figure that was earlier on the list. So every Rocket Boba Fett is a prototype that was leaked out of the factories.
Rocket firing boba fett was redeemable from getting multiple cereal boxes of a certain brand. I know because my dad was able to get 3 of the boxes required. He says he thinks you needed around 5 or 10 boxes and 5 dollars and they would send it to you.
I would be willing to bet that the modern basket ball ones didn't really sell for that much and were phantom actions by cook groups and tik tok nonsense that the young people amuse themselves with.

Oh I see, thank you for clarifying that. I remember that was the case now you mention it.
You mentioning the Homies brought a big smile on my face. I used to get those out the little market store toy ball machines.
Man I had no idea these were ever a thing. It’s interesting to learn about them!

Ah man, that’s as rare as they come!
The Lebron James heads were missing because it was a trend on TikTok that blew up so it became a phenomenon for that reason.
Lol once again Tik Tok destroying decent Society
Nice vision and punisher in the background, remember seeing you post about them on Facebook
Hey well spotted! :)
I had the original He-Man,Boba Fett, the Jawa and that weird medical droid. Hit puberty and gave them all away 😫
Lmao i feel that pain. If i had kept all my sw figures i could have brought a house by now 😂
Hey at least you enjoyed them!
I had the jawa with vinyl cape as a kid,no idea what happened to it.
Off on Toy Story type adventures
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour i hope so lol

lol I’m inclined to agree with you!
That lebron James goo jit zu is 9.99 on eBay lol
Lol by 10 and you’ll be set for life! :)
Very cool list Dave. A pleasure to watch.
Thanks man, it was a pleasure to make!

Ah thanks for the information. That’s interesting.
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour thanks for engaging, Dave. You are truly the People's Champ
Incorrect. The hat is all blue, where as the regular figures hats are Yankee pinstripes. McFarlane kept 2 and sold the other 3.
Will you do a collection tour
I will!
Marion Ravenwood from 1981 unopened has gone for up to $4500.00

Ah now that makes a lot of sense
That was fun thanks. I should see what my manimal figures are worth. I don't display them or anything, hmm...
Hey you might have a gem on your hands!
LOL White Ass. I thought the same or White Abs. He's been doing lots of push-ups. I think it's White ABS- ABS Plastic.
Either way that’s America’s ass!
the ben reilly bearbrick is so perfect
Thanks man, I was thrilled when I saw him
@@DisplayingModelBehaviour it’ll probably be my first one considering all the other characters I love as much are way more expensive!
So many figures from my childhood. No regrets for having to sell them though.
Nah no regrets, you had the fun with them!
I miss my Lil homes, they fit in with my jada toys just fine back in the days.
Ah man I’m learning a lot about these guys!
So bling on Barbie...bad....solid gold or silver lego...good?!
Lol I’m not playing favorites
Can't wait to sell all my LeBron space jam heads! And they called me crazy 😂
Lol who’s laughing now??

Oh interesting. I didn’t know that
Nah. They never gave rocket firing fetts out to the public. The only ones in collector's hands are prototypes
btw…
Have you ever been told that in certain angles you remind me of Henry Cavill ?
I've heard that a few times ad am always very flattered!
I literally thought the numbers 1 action figure would be the original '82 Snake-Eyes or the very first Skywalker or Vader but like the list mate 👍
Thanks man. Those would have been good suggestions!
The Lebron James figures are rare because of an internet trend
Ah that makes sense
Ha the wwf slam jam theme 😂
Wrestlemania to be precise! I need to include slam jam though now you mention it!
Like $24.00 Worth of Silver *
I usto collect the homies 🇲🇽
Ah man classic!
I think it said white abs. :)
Lol I think you’re right!
"White ass?" Lmao!!
Lol not even close!
Never gave the price on Babe Ruth
Oh my bad. Let’s just say he’s expensive!
great topic.... awesome!
Thanks man!
Number 1 spot is what I see in my nightmares lol
I know right?!
White ASS lmaoo. I think it was White ABS maybe. Great video.
Lol that makes more sense!
I would be willing to bet that the modern basket ball ones didn't really sell for that much and were phantom actions by cook groups and tik tok nonsense that the young people amuse themselves with.
I’m inclined to agree with you!
Do the most expensive Marvel & DC figures.
Working on it!
White ABS. ABS is a plastic.
Lol well that makes a a lot more sense!
The Lebron James can’t be real, it can’t be because I have both of those on the list…they are bricks, even the re sell stores wouldn’t even take them.
Lol I guess that was just an internet rumor gone crazy
