I am totally agree... With you... That there is no need of antibiotics in Dengue..... But there are so many chances of secondary bacterial inf. During such type of conditions... Due to low immunity of... Body.... So i think we need to give... B. Spectrum antibiotics for a short time... To inhibit such types of sec. Infection...!?????

Dengue Fever :
NS1 antigen test : within 7 days only
Dengue specific IgM test: after 4d of first symptom
CBC : low TLC, platelets may or may not be low, Hematocrit or PCV.
LFT : AST and/or ALT may be elevated due to liver injury.

Sir iv injection sites is more prone for bleeding than IM injection, but usually iv line starts in low platelets count , vein puncture is more risky so explain this doubt for me
