Christmas 2017

Wishing all, near and far, a happy Christmas holiday season and a Happy and prosperous New Year!
Here's a brief look into our 2017 Christmas, including a Christmas Eve dinner where we along with our friends the Armstrongs take part in several Czech Christmas time traditions, such as cutting apples to find a "star", floating of walnut boats with candles, and our newest addition of melting lead and dumping it into water to see what shape forms. In our house, we have the Czech traditions of Saint Nicholas/Mikulas delivering stockings on Dec. 5th, and then of 'baby Jesus' delivering gifts after singing carols on Christmas eve, followed by the Canadian tradition where we open the remaining gifts on Christmas morning.
